  • i bought this for mom for xmas, shes always driving...

  • lol stiff in a good way thats what she said

  • if you help someone in California and something goes wrong they can sue you

  • @helmineron Yes, they can.

  • can you do me a favor? it would be greatly appriciated by me if you could maybe do a deminstration of the knife. the glass punch and the hook because obviously im a firefighter and i was looking into replacing my current rescue knife. and i would like to know if it is worth my money i mean it is but i would like to make a comparison. Thanks FF anthony williams lancaster PA

  • I ahve tested the glass punch which works flawlessly, howveer I cna tell you from personal expereince any rescue "hook" design is only effective when VERY sharp, after a few used its VERY important to touch up the edge otherwie seatbelt material or clothgi9n will bunch and not cut properly..

  • thanks i appritciate that

  • @cutlerylover so... how do you keep the sharp?? is not like an ordinary knife to shapening with any stone or shapening system like Dmt or lanky how do you or any one keep the hook sharp??

  • Warning: The automatic glass punch mechanism is of fragile construction. Immediately after purchasing two Houdinis, I dropped one of them four feet onto a tile floor, and the punch mechanism broke and fell apart. (I purchased two of these Houdinis..since they are a great price with great features! I just wish it had a basic impact glass spike, instead of the spring gimmick.)

  • Has this been replaced by the Houdini pro tool?

  • its the the same thing they just changed the name when they came out with the smaller version

  • i'm a firefighter/emt, and i carry this with me when i work, and its great for a car accident. you can pop a window, and cut the seatbelt, and ive even cut wires with it, and it works great.

  • thanks for the review :)

  • Great review. Just wanted to point out that it actually didn't make that mark in the wood, it was there from the start of the video. lol

  • oops, lol, I didnt see it at 1st then after the demo I saw a mark, thought it was from the tool, lol

  • very nice, but kinda big for the amount of tools on it. it would be awsome if they added a knife blade to it.

  • Very nice piece of kit.

  • Ok, you've sold me on this! This might be my first Benchmade knife.

  • I recommend also carrying a roll of packaging tape so when youre under water the glass doesnt shatter in

  • Does anyone know how this compares to the HInderer Rescue Knife from Gerber? It also has a window punch. Does anyone know if the Gerber is a spring loaded window punch?

  • it has a blade

    it has a purpose

    it has a working steel

    then yes you can

  • my dads and mine b day is on Jan 20 i want to get him one because he is a firefighter

  • i just bought one as a firefighter. i see it being something practical for us, both for car accidents and in fires. we get tangled up in wires or something, we can cut them with this rather than a straight blade, and take away the risk of slicing our gear or something.

  • my friend got one of these in the mail and he pushed the glass shatter tool on the back of my hand... cutlerylover, i can tell you the glass shatter tool works :(

  • Might want to reconsider who and what you define as "Friend". If my "Friends" Hurt me I generally do not consider them "friends". I think the term acquaintance would be more correct but I am not sure if it was me that I would even continue to be acquainted with folks like that.

  • lol, its okay, i stabbed him in the neck ( just kidding)

but ya, one of my acquaintances pushed the glass puncture tool on my hand

  • cool

  • the victorinox rescue tool wud b great if had thought of the torch... for the glass.. just hav to use a lil muscle, but i like the lazy way on this 1 .. very cool :P

  • that would be cool if it was was automatic

  • where could i get this? New Graham?

  • Yeah, they have them, just amke saure they are in stock before you palce your order, they also make the black handled version if your interested...

  • nice

  • thx man...im gonna find me one and buy it

  • Yip, they make a black handled one as I said, which is cooler looking, lol, but I like the yellow for its visibility...

  • nice vid

  • Thanks!

  • motorcycle 50 cc

  • ahh ok, very nice...but yeah your right, no need for a rescue knife on that, hahahahaha...

  • One item that I would hope to *never* have to use, IF I could even keep my wits about myself, which is highly unlikely. I hope somebody like *you* would be around.

Last June I saw 4 teenagers roll their car and die, literally right in front of me. I was useless.

  • wow that sounds very hard to cope with...like a sense of helplessness, but it soudns liek there was nothgin you coudl have done anyway...I was ina rollover in a jeep cherokee a few years back witha friend, thank god I was wearing my seatbelt at the time, and luckily no real injuries besides scrapes and bruises...we ended up upside down and my seatbelt was jammed, at the tiem I was carrying a Gerber EZ-out flder, which I used to cut the seatbelt off...thats why I carry a knife everyday...

  • A rollover and upside down? Wo... TRIPLE wo. And no, nothing I could have done. Graduation + Driving + Alcohol. You know the story.

  • 5/5

    man I like that thing.

I really like the handle shape for some reason, the strong lock is highly appealing.

  • Yeah it very comfortable!

  • very nice and very handy but dont need it because havent got a car, got a bike

  • Ahh, yeah it won't help for that then, lol..Do you ahve a bicycle or a motorcycle? Sicne both riders say bike for that...Just wondering..

  • Just wanted to say - the good thing about the automatic punch is if you have a busted arm or pinned down and cant swing at the window the automatic punch can do it for you.

Also the only two times you can open the door of the car is when the water is below your window or when the car has filled up with water.

  • Very true!

  • Thanks i'm getting this knife>

  • Cool, Its not all that expensive too, justa pain to resharpen if you use it often...

  • Thanks. Another good review. Have a good one man!

  • Thanks, I will!

  • very cool as always

  • Thanks!

  • I thank you soo much for remembering thx man!

  • Youyr welcome, but I write the requests down otherwise I might have forgotten, haha...

  • very cool

  • Yeah, I want to be able to use it, but I hope I never get the chance if you know what I mean, lol...

  • yeah likee how i boght my m16-13z as a somewhat self defence knife yet i hope i never have to se it in that manner

  • yeah like how i bought my m16-13z as a somewhat self defense knife yet i hope i never have to use it in that manner
