@rockaroundtheclock56 Can you tell me what became of Red Robbo after he was sacked by BL? I've always wondered...he's never been reported on by the media since, but I've often wondered what became of him and what he's up to now.
Just finished reading 'When The Lights Went Out-Britain in the 70s'-great read, told me a load of stuff i never knew before...had to put something up about those days-tough,chaotic,revolutionary...all that & Subbuteo! Cheers Pete- No don't recall the choon man, sounz rockin'!
Amazing piece of work Steve. Brilliant visuals...inspiring...we dont know the half it nowadays...I guess our equivelant was also the Unionists strikes of 74 and 77...no electricity, no water...candles and filled pots and pans...pictues of Blair Peach, and The Southall Riots/Southall Black Sisters...great.
Do you remember Ivor Biggun and The Red Nose Burglars song, Jeremy Jeremy? (Woof Woof Bang)!
Absolutely!!!...The whole Punk/New Wave movement in Northern Ireland was probably (for many) in many respects our equivelant vehicle of the socialist/anti-facist/anti-racist/pro democracy groups in Eng/Scot/Wales during the mid-late 70's..
Check out "It Makes You Wanna Spit" on My Space...a history on NI punk...a great read...
