sorry but this was the most dominating game Mizzou played this year. We absolutely destroyed this team, and we were the best team in college that weekend. Defense absolutely destroyed a great offense, and offense performed flawlessly.
Mizzou pwns tech. I was at this game and have never seen WR's avoiding catching the football more than tech that day. They were beaten stupid on almost every series on both sides of the ball. I was at the tech game in '05 maybe were Brad Smith ran for like 5 TD's. When tech comes to town, someone is having a career day.
Harrell gave up at the 5:45 mark. Your defense gave up at the 6:00 mark. Crabtree gave up at the 6:10 mark. Your team gave up at 6:39 mark.
WTF DO U MEAN WE SHOULD HAVE LOST TO NEBRASKA?!?!?!.......I KINDA WATCHED THAT GAME AND LAST I CHECKED WE KICKED THERE ASS AND IT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE........now baylor did almost beat us.......but where do u get the idea that nebraska beat us?
If you consider overtime victories "...KICK[ing] ASS" then they better check your sports vernacular. It was a close game and Nebraska easily could've taken that game.
overtime......we won 52-17.......you really don't know how stupid you sound.....really get your facts stright before you go posting comments on a video!
OMG, You're an idiot. I'm a Mizzou fan, I was AT that game. I responded to babyphil saying TEXAS TECH should have lost to Nebraska and Baylor because he made a ridiculous claim. Learn to read before you embarrass yourself and overreact.
oh.....i'm sorry.....lol.....i thought u were texas tech fan refering to mizzou.....because mizzou did have a close game against baylor........ but as nebraska......i was thinkin wtf....my mistake....haha.
Honest to god truth here, because tech's running game has been better then the other times. Harrell and Crabtree hooked up as a duo. Detron Lewis was another player that showed up this season.
Hey dhartley, no need to worry about the Red Raiders. Didn't they just get slammed by the Longhorns. By the way, this time, Mizzou is going to beat the Sooners, and if it's the Longhorns, it's time for revenge. Bring em on up
UT or OU will demolish Mizzou in the Big 12 championship game. Mizzou has a better chance of beating Tech, but this year its just not going to happen.
One second, how are you claiming that Crabtree is good. He had a great game against OU, right. I'm sorry, I must be talking about some other team. Just be happy that Mizzou isn't going to be able to embarrass you this year.
How did you guys do against Oklahoma State? And Texas? Cause I know How MY team did against them!!! That was tooooo easy. OU would slaughter you on a pulpit, and don't be so sure that the Red Raiders won't get the chance to do the same; all OU has to do is lose to OSU.
I do have to say I hate TX and OU fans...I work a hotel in Dallas during TX/OU weekend...geesh. The stories I could tell...not pretty. I worked the TTU Alabama game at the Cotton bowl over New Years weekend and not one student from either party school team was evicted or jailed. As a TTU fan I have got to say the 'Bama kids were entirely respectful and vise versa Tech of each other. Yes some trash talking but all in good fun. No one got entirely stupid on either side.
I never feel bad about a victory but I do have respect for TT and their fans. It's one of those games where it seems too bad that there has to be a losing team. I'm looking forward to our season and also wish the best of luck to TT and their fans. Maybe we'll get to meet up in the Big 12 championship.
idk bout that dude. I know alot of texas tech fans that are arrogant as hell. if tech ever experienced as much success as UT & oklahoma, they would be just as arrogant as any other team would be. the only thing that forces alot tech fans to be even slightly humble is the pure facts of the matter that they havent reached the UT/OK level of success yet, otherwise they'd be just as annoying as any other team
steeldawg you prob have a point-& i have to say that ALL schools have a set of fans that are that way(out of control, rude, etc.)it just seems like it's more prevalent in some places & would be good for them to have a humbling experience "sooner" rather than later-although a&m has been mostly unsuccessful & it hasn't humbled them at all--i really love underdogs & always want to see them win so i am rooting for missouri in the north & tech in the south--it would be a great thing for the Big 12
yea I see what you mean. it is boring seeing the same schools winning every year. I have friends @ both tech & missouri so I wish them well. plus their success will strengthen the big 12's image as one of the 2 toughest conferences in college football. you have a good point about a&m. they havent done anything lately, yet they are still cocky as a mofo.
it goes without saying that if Tech or MU want to prove something, this is the year they both have to do it&the pressure is certainly on them-it should be an interesting year-i just hope one of them can break through to the next level-yeah, the same old teams gets boring-if they want to have a chance though they have to get over the"mental hump"of playing the top teams in decisive games&the inability of that mental aspect is what usu. keeps underdog schools from getting to that next level
Hey I am a huge Tech fan,but I give props to Missouri and will root for the Tigers this year unless playing Tech.If Mizzou meets OU for the Championship,I hope they rip them. The OU fans I know are already laughing about Mizzou being a contender. They already think they have the whole thing sewed up.I hate that arrogance. If the Tigers show up mentally, they will beat OU. I just root for all the UNDERDOG schools--Tech, Missouri, OSU & down with OU, TX, A&M...They are all so freakin' arrogant.
hell yea jeremy maclin < than michael crabtree... crabtree was droppin balls from contact in that compilation but maclin wasnt and maclin did a lot more than crabtree
The best competition this year may be Texas Tech. They are loaded, I mean loaded, and not just on offense. Yep, the defense is ready to play and they go very deep They could upset OU in the south, but I think Missouri is the favorite to win the whole deal. You never know how it will play out. Preseason hype usually ends up being just that. Who knows?!? Regardless, it should be a fun year in the Big 12 because it is stacked with the best teams in the nation--hands down the best conference.
r u freakin seriouse texas tech is not lets think maybe oklahoma maybe or lets think gorgia bulldogs are gonna be a good depth team but nobody knows until the season starts but i have doubts that texas tech will be really good comp. yes they have a above avg. back field but mizzou has better and a larger depth in the field.
Well, I know Tech having depth seems surprising but they were the youngest team in the nation last year and they return 10 starters on offense, 8 on defense, and 42 of the two deep men. The stars are as aligned as they'll ever be down in Lubbock, so it is just up to them to prove they can do it. With all the preseason pressure, it may be difficult, but I think you'd be remiss to count them out. Remember, they pretty much had their way with OU at the end of last season.
Tech may be the best this season. If they get to the Big 12 championship they'll have to beat OU. I'd love to get there and get another crack at OU but, if we go, I wanna play the best team, regardless of who it is. If it's Tech then so be it.
actually mizzou could beat ou if they got a fullback..but no they refuse..they would rather get stopped on the 1 yard line kick a field goal and lose by 3 touchdowns
I don't agree. I mean, we may or may not be able to beat OU. OU is not unbeatable. In fact, Texas Tech has done it a few times since Stoops has been there. It's foolish to be so unconfident as to think we could never beat OU. It's also equally as foolish to think that a game against Tech would be a guaranteed victory. That's far from the truth.
after a 41-10 slaughter, i don't see why everybody thinks texas tech will be so successful in the big 12 this year. i mean they do produce bigtime yards.. harrell had like 398 passing yards against mizzou but only scored 10 points so if you do somehow make it to kansas city don't get your hopes up, because tech doesn't have a chance against the tigers
You make a good point, but really in this game it was techs offense that couldn't do anything right. Crabtree dropped WAY too many passes. I think Tech will meet you in the Big 12 championship and it will be a heck of a game.
I guess the reason why ppl. think Tech will do well is because they ended the year very strongly last year and have 18 starters returning, 10 on offense and 8 on defense. How well they do will depend more on their mentality than anything. They could do very well, but only time will tell.
He's probably right though..mizzou kicked the crap out of the huskers and raiders by like 5 touchdowns, so tech vs nebraska must be like the best game to watch..hahahahaaaa
Can't stand Mizzou, but I think the Husker defense would do well to study what the tiggers did to stop tech, 'cause we'll be taking on the red rooters in lubbock...
You are a fucking IDIOT.... The huskers are no more. How can you even comment on this wall??? Do you remember the massacre? Nebraska..... What a bunch of fucking losers.
Also i would like to add in 1960 the missouri tigers were 11-0 including a 28-0 shutdown against the huskers, 45-0 against ksu, 41-19 against oklahoma, and orange bowl victory over navy. if that doesn't count as a national championship then the entire system is fucked up
The 1960 Missouri Tigers were 10-1 until it was learned that KU had an inelligible player in the game vs. MU. THAT's why they weren't voted as National Champions, and that's why it doesn't count. Sorry, you guys are still at zero in that department. To both teams - thanks for being the doormat the Huskers stomped on during 3 National Titles in the '90s.
still 11 and 0. thats what counts to us and and about to be 14-0. i'm glad for you that your team was so successful..10 years ago but the huskers absolutely suck now
Nebraska will NEVER be as good as they were. Mizzou has plenty of room to expand our stadium to hold ex-Nub fans jumping onto our bandwagon. Come on over to the dark side....you have never seen football as fun and exciting as what Mizzou puts on the field.
Though I appreciate your polite invitation, I must decline. I am Big Red through and through, no matter what happens. One question, though. Who will replace Daniel? I know it won't be Gabbert, because Pinkle likes his QB's fleet-of-foot, right? The Sleeping Giant...right. Anyway, it will be fun for a long time to see this rivalry renewed, and the North is finally respectable, if at least the Blackshirts don't play like the Blackskirts. I'm looking forward to the matchup in Lincoln this fall.
First of all, the tigers would not have recruited Gabbert and redshirted him if they weren't going to use him. With a spread offense you need a great pocket passing qb, and he was possibly the best one in all the highschools around the nation last season. I will be going to the game in lincoln this year and i'll tell you i'm not really all that excited because i know the huskers will just get blown out probably worse than they did last year. Good luck in '08; you will need it for sure
same hre i predict it will be a fun one to watch it will be competitive unlike last year. And i know Nebraska will put up a great fight now that Callahan is gone. But none the less mizzou will win a close one
Gabbert also rushed for something like 500 yards. The kid can run just fine. He didn't get a 5 star rating because he's a statue. Anyhow, I'm sure Nebraska will eventually bounce back but it's good to see some parity in the north now. I get the feeling Colorado could be adding to that parity in the not so distant future.
Maclin > Crabtree? .......and the Belitnikoff player of the year goes to who? That's right, Crabtree! Maclin wasn't even a freakin candidate for the award!
The thing about Harrel is that most of his interceptions aren't even his fault. His receivers are either out of place, don't catch it correctly, or drop the ball.
Still, good job Mizzou. After the year, I would rank you number 4.
Good vid and Mizzou has Tech's number. Harrell plays bad against you guys but honestly Tech was pretty much in the game for the 1st 3 quarters but the offense just never got on track. Receivers kept dropping or tipping balls, our o-line played terrible, it was just a bad day for the Red Raiders and the Tigers had a lot to do with it.
The BCS hosed you guys, but please use some better music next time - the Tech loss and choice of music are my only complaints.
sorry but this was the most dominating game Mizzou played this year. We absolutely destroyed this team, and we were the best team in college that weekend. Defense absolutely destroyed a great offense, and offense performed flawlessly.

Maclin > Crabtree? .......and the Belitnikoff player of the year goes to who? That's right, Crabtree! Maclin wasn't even a freakin candidate for the award!

YAWN. Crabtree would have been the 3rd or 4th option on the 2007 Tigers. Probably 3rd best in 2008.

Awards are all about politics. Do you really think Tebow had a better season than Chase Daniel? NO!!
