wow that is a huge kid to be on a leash. Toddlers may not remember the humiliation but that kids is going to need therapy. Every dog that walks by on a leash is like looking in the mirror for that kid. Thanks for sharing this topic.
Sometimes people with disabilities like Autism, get spooked like animals and simply take off running, until they exhaust themselves, or run into something. They are sometimes harnessed to caregivers or service dogs.
My son loved having a leash around to his wrist more than having to hold my hands on street.
This would allow his to carry his toys by himself and we would always play, we would run together and he would stop suddenly, so I had to stop too, he would think that he had enough strength to make me stop too whenever he wanted. Even now (6y/o), he asks me for his leash, I guess I lost it.
My brother has a harness for my 3 yr old niece and I refuse to use it because it embarrasses me. I feel like I might as well be wearing a sign to tell people how lazy and incompetent I am that I can't keep this kid alive without lashing her to me.
I used the damned leash with my boys but i held their hands too. the fucking things should be used as an extra procation when they are like 2 and 3 and MAYBE as old as 4 or 5 but by the time they hit about 5 or 6 they should know better. Hell my 2 yr old daughter picked up on not running into the street by example from her brothers so i dont have to use one with her but will i if i need to...YES
holy shit!!! that mom's a BITCH!! kid looks way too old to be on a leash, eventhough all child leashes are pathetic. she obviously can't be a mom if she thinks that a kid that age should be restrained to not get hurt. lol a kid that age should already know how to be careful and aware of their surroundings through basic guidance and safety rules but instead this mom here decided to shut out that kind of education all together and strap a leash on him. please. leashes don't teach kids anything.
One... If your kid gets run over by a car thats probably where they should stay, you have a better chance of your child getting struck by lightning. Lightning is indiscriminate though, cars only run over stupid people.
Two... All of a sudden it's necessary, after thousands of years of raising children, to have them on a leash. Idiots try to defend these worthless people so that they themselves don't feel like the lazy piece of **** parent they are when they use them as well.
iv seen those used a TON of times not cause it';s cruel but some kids have mental disorders and tend to wander away "LIKE IN TO TRAFFIC!" there embarrasing yes but whats worse a leash or a semi in your face?
its not cruel the kid looks like he has downsyndrome and iv seen it MANY times before with hyper active kids.. grow up....shut up.....deal with life you pansy ass jackoffs....
I used to babysit a girl (about 9 years old) with downs. She was way bigger than me at the time (I was 11). I could have used something, because she was dragging me down the street at times she was so strong and wanted to run down middle of street. So I can see something to help a child with downs in this case.
I was at a fair in Leon, Gto, Mexico. Apearently its like the 2nd or 3rd largest fair in the country. Anyway when i was at the animal pens, i saw two grade school kids, between 7 to 9, on leashes. I thought that was amusing and cute seeing that and the kids didnt seem to mind. i told my cousins later on and they said, its a big fair and they could get lost easy. just wanted to share that
Seriously, you don't know the reason though. Maybe the kid is actually mentally disabled or something, and she's afraid he'll run under a car cause he will not lstento reason or something....
i make my 10 year old cusion ware on it is a simple strap that connects to his wrist and mine. he is compleatly normal i feel a leash is best protection for children when out in busy public places. i get lots of good comentsfrom other people about the leash
omg that poor boy. Bet that poor boy gets bullied at school. shame on the mother !!! I can't imagine that leash would do anything anyway even if he did try to run. He is like 8 or something !!!
I'm gonna have like ten kids, leash 'em all up, and walk them dog-walker style. I'll be walking like an old lady trying to hold back a poorly trained pit-bull.
i was never on a leash and wondered off once but my mom was watching me and hiding and i was scared as hell after that i never wondered off again its whats kids do they wonder off once or twice it your job as a parent to watch your kid when you put them on a leash they feel embarrassed and like you don't trust them
okay...i understand if little kids are on a leash because they always wander off, but seriously?? kids this age should atleast know how to walk with people -_-
the kid looks about 9 and if hes on a leash at that age hes probably got learning difficultys or some sort of disability! i dnt have a problem with toddlers having leashes if its a busy place or alot of traffic and your walking with your child, children wnt always hold your hand or be picked up and beleive me they can be pretty percistant when they want to be so sometimes it better to be safe than sorry, as long as the child is not being dragged about whats the problem? each to their own!
What ever happend to telling the kid that the boogy man would get you if you wandered off? this is fucking pathetic, loose the leash, gain some parenting skills

Unless this kid has a learning disability, or some other kind of issue, this is NOT ok; he's WAY too old for his mother to be doing that to him.
maradashewolf 2 years ago 4
yeah, but if he's special, you can still tie his leash to the rear bumper, then totally forget he's there when drive away
scottspeaksfuckinsux 2 years ago
this kid may have issues, like autism or something. as old as he looks, i can't imagine any other reason why he would be put on a leash.
