I know this is an old vid but nice horde of minis there.

I see some one is saying what a waste of money, i wouldn't regard this a waste of money when you consider how many games you can get from it.

If your want to talk about a waste of money then maybe they should search for paintball now thats a waste of money.

Where is the codex and base rule book? First thing you always do is buy the books, /then/ make a army and /then/ buy the figs for it. Now you have to make a army out of what you have, and that might not be the stuff you end up playing or using. You might be able to trade stuff you don't use to other Guard players for things you want. Start small (400pt combat patrol and 1000pt games) and work your way up to figure out your style of gameplay with Guard, then build to that aspect.

you do know that it is compulsary for any army to have 1 HQ choice and 2 Troopd Choice. Where the hell is your troops you need them. Troops is IG speciality aswell as tanks. You need a platoon of guardsmen b4 you start.

@LearnMeHowWarhammer Oh right but i saw a box of Cadian Sock Troops. Good word of advice. metal models are a bitch to paint i have a box of kasrkins and i sparyed them with the basecoat paint and the metal still shows.

IMHO, you have too many heavy support tanks (eg. Leman Russ, Basilisk). The basic idea in an Imperial Guard army is that you have lots and lots of basic guardsmen, with which you complete objectives and provide meatshields for your more important stuff.

You can't use the Shadowsword in a non-apocalypse game, mainly because it is too powerful for a normal game and costs 500 points. (Normal games are usually 500-2500 points) I would also advice to drop the Valkyrie and get Chimeras instead.

Just letting you know stell legion (the infantry you have) are know to transport their entire army in chimeras. That is their backround cause their planet makes the most chimeras in the Imperium.They also HATE orks.And get the codex if you dont have it,it will explan all about them.

Only bummer is you can only field 3 heavy support choices in a standard force organization. And you have a lot more than 3... I'd suggest some heavy weapon teams for each one of your squads. And some ogryns to cover your ass in assaults.

@westboarder actually almost every Imperial guard vehicle can be in squads of 3 so there is less heavy support choices than it looks, but I have so many for army building options or apocalypse games
