this is the most fun PUSH board i have ever skated. i don't know if there was something wrong with mine or what, but after three months the flex was so extreme, i could bottom it out with one foot on the ground.
@tayler0528 i DO tend to get a lot more skatin in than your average bear, since i skate everywhere i go. (pdp bruh) but like i said, i think there was something wrong with mine that made it do that. i was cool with it though, cuz it made it that much more fun to push! it flexed prolly 3-4 inches when i was riding which wedged the b-jesus out of it (sort of) and made it like a trampoline on wheels. i've been skating over a decade, and even for me it was kind of squirrely at 25 ish...
@SnoMan7878 hmmm well the flex is a good thing mostly. Sector 9 boards are more prone to snapping if you weigh a lot and jump hard. If you just ride it won't snap unless you are really heavy. Boards like the loaded dervish will never snap.
@101shadowman Hmmm. Well when I first got this board I was in love, I could bomb some stuff with it. Then I kept wanting to go harder so I upgraded the trucks. Then as time went by I wanted to get into even more intense DH and some sliding so I bought a new board. So IMO it is a good board, especially for a beginner! You may want to look into upgrading some components.
@tayler0528 the only thing these trucks need to be legit is tighter pivot cups. when i had my alpines, i put a stack of 1"square pieces of garbage bag over the pivot cup, then rammed the hanger into it, and that solved the whole rattling issue. works miracles for chargers too.
oh big at all, like i can pretty much only manuel nose and tail. I can cross step, but that isnt to special. I cant shovit on this board, but i can on others, and i can only backslide
hmm, yeah it is a pretty good beginner board, i have been riding it for a while, it is pretty decent. Any board is good to start with, so you should look up landyachtz or loaded boards. But if you aren't sure you will like longboarding sector 9 is the best cuz it is cheaper
They are both pretty good boards, it all just comes down to what design you think is best. If you have some more money to spend you could get a custom bustin board or a loaded dervish. The Bustin Strike is a good downhill board. the Loaded Dervish is good for minor downhill, but mostly street riding. I recommend Bear Grizzly Trucks 181mm or Paris Trucks 180mm with which ever board you choose. Have fun Boarding
im most likely going to get the bert scribble because of the price difference (i dont have much to spend on a board). do you know if the bert scribble has a lot of flex to it or is it like a skateboard?
thank you soooo much. i just ordered this board, and i was worried that it would flex way too much for my taste. and since i am almost exactly your weight, this gives me a pretty good idea of how its gonna feel. thanks alot
No problem have fun riding, im gonna post a video of some Bear Grizzly Trucks that I just ordered, they are gonna be badass, so check out my videos in about a week, maybe you will be interested in those trucks
this board sucks. if you want a real board from some real longboard brands i'd recommend you buy any board from original skateboards or any board from loaded. sector 9 blows
well maybe we all don't have the money for those boards. you can't say this board sucks just because there are better boards out there... dumbass... and besides, it is the components that count.
well, this is my first sector 9 board, I never really longboarded too much before, just on occasion, after about a few days of riding i started getting pretty good. So I suggest a Mundaka or if you want a board better for the city, go with the sections board.
I practice downhill with this board, max speed reached 105 km/h super stable board. 46" .

Uhm, I am not positive on it, but the flex should be the same as the Mundaka, I'm pretty sure they are made from the same material

DO NOT PUT SIDEWINDERS ON THE MUNDAKA! EVER.
i bottemed out almost every carve, theirs so much flex in the mundaka. this video makes it look stiff
frankduhh 2 years ago
