the world of fallout diverged from our timeline shortly after world war II. and there was presumably music made after that lol. but they explain that after the great war, most of the records were destroyed, and mostly only had classics that werent often used. though im sure the music was popular in the fallout universe due to the mindset of the people staying in that "world of tomorrow" era of the 30's 40's and 50's.
