I don't know anyone in Roseland, I just happened to see something about it on youtube and then went to the tv station and watched the video. It was plain to see that the councilman turned to make a comment to the council and the officer then pushed him hard into the glass door and got on top of him as he fell to the ground from the push and started hitting him. Mr. Snyder was in court on Monday to answer questions about his lack of paying back child support. The judge had ordered him to get a better job, so he could make his child support payments. Snyder told the magistrate that he had applied at a car lot. They questioned the car lot owner, and he said that there was no application on file. He owed more than $90k in back support.

The Facts: Snyder was asked to leave the building, and when refused, he was escorted out. Before getting all the way out, he resisted, and the cop made sure he got out of the building. Snyder did get hit, for resisting. If I had been the cop, I would have tasered Snyder. He's been nothing but a pain in the ass for too many years. I can't imagine any of these arrests were contrived by police, given officer Tiller's credibility is in the toilet. Penn and Tiller each have short video interviews where they blatantly lie, shown to be lies by the main video.

I made a mistake is saying that Ted Penn was the Mayor. Ted Penn and the Mayor are both short stocky white haired men and I got them confused. Ted Penn is a councilman. The Mayor ordered the cops to put Snyder in jail.
I actually watched the entire video of the incident and I couldn't help but notice that the bald cop didn't attack David Snyder until Snyder said something to the cop which was inaudible to the camera, and then the cop went ballistic. I am very interested to know what Snyder's comment was, because he was certainly quite unfair and rude to make a comment about the Mayor becoming "senile" during their argument.

I don't know anyone in Roseland, I just happened to see something about it on youtube and then went to the tv station and watched the video. It was plain to see that the councilman turned to make a comment to the council and the officer then pushed him hard into the glass door and got on top of him as he fell to the ground from the push and started hitting him. I have no bias, it was just very easy to see what happened.

Interesting for Gidkid35 to say to question the comments and the video of Sept. 14 but does not think to question all the media coverage of David and Dorothy Snyder? If there was a lack of democracy in Snyder's enforcement of town ordinances it would have been proven in court as this small group (5-8) brought multiple law suits to drain tax money from the town. The litigation was not successful, and the suit "constitutional rights" for requiring permits for signs was settled.

During my junior year in HS my bestfriend, and I were at a party. We got a ride home from this "guy". He dropped me and my boyfriend off then was supposed to give her a lift home...she never made it. She washed up 3days later. Naked, all beat to hell. The "guy" was never charged. Its been over 20yr and he still walking free, due to lack of evidence. I pray everyday they'll solve this...her parents deserve closure. And this kind of shit happens EVERY DAMN DAY all over the world.

Mr. Snyder was in court on Monday to answer questions about his lack of paying back child support. The judge had ordered him to get a better job, so he could make his child support payments. Snyder told the magistrate that he had applied at a car lot. They questioned the car lot owner, and he said that there was no application on file. He owed more than $90k in back support.

The Facts: Snyder was asked to leave the building, and when refused, he was escorted out. Before getting all the way out, he resisted, and the cop made sure he got out of the building. Snyder did get hit, for resisting. If I had been the cop, I would have tasered Snyder. He's been nothing but a pain in the ass for too many years. Here's a concilman that owes more than $93k in back child support, and has been arrested (4) times so far this year. What a model citizen, huh? What an idiot!

How did he resist arrest? From what I've seen in the video, which is him walking out and getting shoved from behind while his hands were full, and from what I've read about him turning his head because someone called his name... I don't see how that's resisting arrest.

What happend is simply that David Snyder is leaving the room in quiet manner, but just when he is walking through the door he turns to the policeman and says something... and this triggers the outrage of the cop.
I would bet he didnt say anything nice, but that is no way justification for such a brutal reaction. He could have gotten him a warrant for the insult (which I think it was what he said) and leave it at that.

I charge everybody to not let this case die. the law of this land follows precedence and if you lets this case die then you set the precedence where this can happen to you.Dont let them run over david snyder cause if you do you might be next.

I made a mistake is saying that Ted Penn was the Mayor. Ted Penn and the Mayor are both short stocky white haired men and I got them confused. Ted Penn is a councilman. The Mayor ordered the cops to put Snyder in jail.

I actually watched the entire video of the incident and I couldn't help but notice that the bald cop didn't attack David Snyder until Snyder said something to the cop which was inaudible to the camera, and then the cop went ballistic. I am very interested to know what Snyder's comment was, because he was certainly quite unfair and rude to make a comment about the Mayor becoming "senile" during their argument.

Stop the presses on my last two comments. I just realized that the Mayor may have been grossly in violation of council rules by attempting to limit Snyder's floor time to one minute. If he was, and then had Snyder forcibly removed from chambers, I can see why Snyder might be speaking so contemptfully to everyone.

All I know is that I don't know the whole history of this Snyder guy... he might have done a whole ocean of shit to agonize these people in the community, and they didn't deserve it. On the other hand, they could be an evil little Peyton Place community that thinks they can treat anyone they like as their little plaything. I don't know.

Even before the physical violence began, they were yelling at each other like crackheads in a ghetto alley. They are to 'enlightened discourse' what beef jerky is to nutrition. Well, I'm not sure it's a bad thing to be "simple folk". In fact, I think there's probably some high virtue in being unpretentious and honest about things. With that said, however, unjust and demented is just not tolerable.

I disagree. There's nothing virtuous in being "simple". I.E. Compulsive, lacking curiosity, and stupid. That's very different from humility and honesty, which you're referencing. Yearning for intelligence, self-knowledge, patience and enlightenment -- both in the person and in the group -- doesn't equate with being pretentious. That city council are a bunch of ruffians because they lack said qualities, and they are thus hardly virtuous.
