from the top comments i can see that many ppl think it's the racket that passes over the net that causes the foul , instead what they should look for is whether cai yun hit the shuttle before or after it passed the net .In that case it clearly shows the shuttle is on China's side when Cai hit it , bad umpire =\.

So wrong ... try pausing at exactly 04:30, from the video you can tell the shuttle is at least 1 inch over the net at China's side. It's a totally bad call from the umpire.
