I like how they all have something to remind them of each other. Red and Yellow have blue eyes, Blue and Red have yellow crowns, Blue has red eyes, and Yellow has a red crown. Its a subtle yet obvious touch that shows while their all individuals they work and live together as one.

I think the fact is that, as said, it's a color balance. Blue has pink eyes and yellow crown, Pink has blue eyes, yellow crown, and Yellow has pink crown, blue eyes.

In that case, their primary color is evident, but they have those used colors to connect them.
