All of you beginners that say 2 strokes "blow up" are idiots. I've never seen a 2 stroke "blow up". I've seen them lock up due to lack of maintenance. I've seen them stop running due to worn out rings causing lack of compression. If any of you have grenaded a 2 stroke, you must have the mechanical knowledge of a chimp. However I have seen a piston smack a valve on a 4 stroke and do some serious damage.

Spazzbeat ur retarted. Who fuckin cares which is faster 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Power doesnt matter between them Its 90% the rider anyway. You cud be on crf450r and R.C cud be on a crf150r he will still whip your ass. The only big diff between 2t and 4t is 2t blows up faster. You still have to maintain both bikes

@dtrainsuperstar You weigh about 20 more pounds then i do, at the same height and i got a cr250 obviously =P so i would say get a 450 or a 2 stroke 250 and just take it easy at first because they will have alot more snap then a 150f lol but you will be fine just remember it will only go as fast as you turn the throttle :) have fun!

i have owned everyone barr ktm so i have a good understanding about whats good and whats bad

Reliability wise, Ktm's are quite costly for spare parts but come with some pretty trick bits

honda's are still plagued with valve troubles

Yamaha's are very solid

kawasaki's are quite cheap for spares and are reliablility

older suzuki's start to develop problems

KTM's are just a really wierd bike, sharp front end, slow to rev out

Yamaha's are quite nice but dont stand out in any areas

Suzuki's have great suspension but the motor can be a bit lacking up top

Hondas are a smooth, nice handling bike but are bit heavy and slow to steer

Kawasaki's have a balistic motor and have quite plush suspension but can be a bit of a hanful at times

haha and the biggest piece of shit ever made! i've owned both you fucking armchair racer. honda always does something gimmicky like puts dual mufflers on for no valid reason or holds plastic bodywork together with clips instead of screws. ktm on the other hand uses SHEET METAL screws as a means of holding just about anything together. oh and they are horribly made. in all truth yamahas are the best as far as build quality and finish goes. dipshit.

actually it depends on what riding you do, the 144sx is actually a little faster than 250Fs.. but 250fs are easier to ride bcuz of the 4 stroke power
