Well, I would compare them to Jimi Hendrix in the first place. Maybe not as great guitar-playing, but definitely rocking as great as Jimi and in a very similar style... the melodies, the singing etc.

But I have to admit, there are some similarities to the White Stripes. But not because they are also a duo. That has nothing to say about music. It's just a comparable sound. But The Black Keys sound even more garage-like than the Stripes. And I like Dan's voice more. ^^
