I have met Matt 2 x's. Very briefly in'95 and at length again in '06. Both times he was a very nice guy. Treated me like a brother. Then High On Fire delivered a kick-ass, ear-splitting set . Him and Tommy Victor from Prong are two of the nicest and most down to earth guys in metal. Metal Gods all the way!!!

Matt Pike lived near me. He knew some of my friends but I never met him personally. I did however bump into him in the bathroom at the blank club in San Jose. I wished him good luck onstage and that was it.

Thanks for posting. I met Matt Pike of High On Fire back a few months ago. Very, very cool guy and very personable. Not like a bunch of other musicians who are fucking dicks and their music couldn't slay a blade of grass. HIGH ON FIRE;kick ass motheruckin' Oakland, CA metal!
