Most factories of strategic importance (assembly lines) were indeed evacuated over there and continued with operation. The role of weather in nazi's defeat is grossly overstated, since Russians aren't immune to cold either. Allies made their move when Soviets were already pushing nazis half way back to Germany chopping 3/5 of nazi forces by that time, since most of them were concentrated on Eastern front.

A mediocre production by Western standards.
Obvious flaws are the use of Soviet military equipment in place of German, such as a Pe-2 with Luftwaffe markings.
I did like the JS-III tanks traversing Red Square, however their depiction is too early for the historical scene. Likewise I liked the T-34/85 storming the camp wall.
Was that an American-made airliner seen dropping off Stalin in Berlin at the end? Fictitious scene of Stalin in Berlin, using a stand-in actor no less, is really corny.

Stalin was afraid to fly and only ever flew once. This was to the 1943 Tehran conference not Berlin. I also am pretty sure he never visited Berlin at any point in time.

Its easy to forget though that films like thesse would be the only thing Soviet public could see from the agricultral lands to the towns, if they worked hard they were given cinema tickets as a reward and with little to compare it to this was like news in a way strenthging beleif in the SOviet

Because it´s really well done. This movie has nothing that Western movies makes on their presidents, it has a good portrait of Yalta conference and several facts are confirmed by Historians.

It´s funny that every year USA produces lots of movies promoting the Cult of Personality of the President of the USA, depicting as a hero who saves the world from all of evil, movies like Air Force 1, Independence Day and lots of others. I don´t see anyone presenting them as "propaganda" or "cult of personality".
This movie may show the Stalin Era, but the main hero at this movie(The fall of Berlin) is a WORKER, not a capitalist as in Iron man or a stupid hero full of special effects.

- USA president saves the whole world(not only his country), despite that it´s the country which mostly invaded another countries, even more than Nazi Germany
- American movies are not nationalistic, they are imperialistic, since they advocate military actions of USA against the so called "lesser people"

Yeah the History Channel said the director was so scared he was vomiting (fearing Stalin would kill him if he didn't like the movie). That could be a lie I guess, but Stalin cried and everyone applauded. It's a great film actually.
