omg she looks amazing and her voice :) i love it i know i'm seventeen but i don't care what people think i love her (: and she seems like a lovely person too <3 xxxx <3 xxxx
I love Dame Cleo and during her last dress rehearsal for the national touring company of "Into the Woods" she invited me to watch and we had a lovely visit backstage and I even got to steal a kiss from her as well. She is just an amazing woman and instrument and I adore her and find her simply smashing! <3
A wonderful opportunity to hear Cleo and this humorless twit keeps interrupting with the dullest of lines. Can some tech wizard re-engineer him out of the clip?
@rfw1503 Can't argue with that assessment. She and Ella are the tops. Check out both's renditions of "It Don't Mean a Thing." Both superb but Cleo's is better because of the her brilliant, almost Mozartian, arpeggios in sync and tone with John's clarinet. But beware, it may blow your mind. Ella's is great too but in a different vein. Jazz lovers also near Diana Reeves' "In Your Eyes."
@cjacja21 Oh I totally agree with you, she's a absolutely spectacular singer!!!! She is as good and probably BETTER than many of the jazz greats :D Plus... she'd have been aged 81 here.... and singing without a flaw - Love her!
I have to say - I am so amazed at how wonderful the tone of her voice STILL is. I love Cleo Laine. Could someone please tell me - Does she permanently walk with a stick? Or was it just something she needed for a little while?

Cleo probably gave him the 'ok' to patter through the song for a while. The Brits like it a little campy.

The host was pretty funny, but I could understand only about every third word he said, and Cleo Laine; what is there to say?
