John Sykes was definitely a good choice for Whitesnake. David Coverdale was interested in Gary Moore and Michael Schenker, and Sykes has elements of both, PLUS his own unique style and sound (especially the vibrato). Thanks for the video!

Very underrated guitarist much like Gary Moore. I guess Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazine in the 80's could only find Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Vinnie Moore for their covers.

But was speaking with a friend about guitarists the other day and whose name pops up,..probably a very underated guitarist, and a great guitarist who has never received any recognition, even from those who do,..and that is Elton's guitarist Davey Johnstone. Now there is someone to be reckoned with.

an amazing setup for an amazing guitarist.... just the modern/vintage tone gibson with a marshall stack.... my dream setup.... line 6, treynor, dean markly's tone sounds like digital distortion.... if u play a line 6 amp beside a marshall obviously the marshall will have a more balsseyier tone!
