@rabidwolfable The timing probably wasn't right for that - monster effects are spell-speed 1, right? Jaden used a quick-play spell, which is speed 2. If you mean doing it before he attacked...well, this IS the Yugioh show, after all - Intelligently-scripted opponents in duels? Against the protagonist? Never gonna happen.

easy solution chazz uses the ability and destroys the face down doesnt attack and get rid of the winged kuriboh next turn with ability then wins

@superthunderpikachu winged kuriboh's effect activates when its sent to the grave, and damage calculation happens before monsters are destroyed (according to the wiki's rulings page for WK) so you would lose the lifepoints, then WK is destroyed and sent to the grave and thats when WK activates its effect.

And @riicky83 But I wouldnt know it was transcendant wings, and besides, I could still inflict 2700 ;P worth of damage thanks to VWXYZ's second effect, and Winged kuriboh's effect activating after damage calculation (I think).

Now if i was chazz, i would have played VWXYZs ability to remove from play jadens facedown trancendant wings, then attack winged kuriboh, and switch winged kuriboh into attack with VWXYZs secondary ability, and jaden would have lost 2700 life points.

@wattaguy007 But if you knew it was trancendant wings that was set you'd use VWXYZ to remove Winged Kuriboh and struck for 3000 lp.
