  • wow all stock and u put down 275 holy balls. im zzp stage 3 and a shit load of support mods if i run a 50 or 75 shot i should be over 300 to the wheels.

  • Dteamxdrifter, no problems. I have now the trifecta GMS3 with AC Enabled. Totally worth it now. Car has now 61k miles.

  • @v8pontiacvent sweet is there a big diffrence when nitrous hits? im on 2.9",42#inject,vibrant header/dp,injen cai,megan racing axel back im thinking about 75 shot is night and day nitrous run vs non nitrous run?

  • not bad dyno run with dry shot i put down 301whp on a e85 tune finally after a lighter flywheel and clutch. However my tq was 271-3 i bleieve that thing must really move. Its really good for a dry shot not a huge fan of dry ive had bad things happen in past.

  • at :23 is that nitrous hittin or what caused the spike ?

  • 205 hp is factory power measured at the crank. his 275 is measured at the wheels. so he's making prob around +or- 350 at the crank.

  • @BLACKSSG85 no actually 205hp from factory is to the wheels, and there underrated.. If you chack out dyno's for cobalts stock they sit anywhere from 205whp -220whp stock.

  • I wonder, taking a stock cobalt LT, swap out the heads and cams from a recent turbocharged, and adding a used turbo or supercharger. What kind of power would it gives ?

  • hi i have some question do you change your clutch ???? or you have the stock clutch and about your exhaust you just change the exhaust ???? do you change the manifold to a gmpp ???

  • I was kinda thinking the same thing... I am stage 2 supercharged on a 2.2 and I make just about that much with my bolt ons which are very mild

  • i have an 08 cobalt ls, wat are some things (other than a supercharger) that can help

  • SS SC Manifold, downpipe & Exhaust. It's a pretty cheap mod with good gains on the ls. Also consider a CAI and a Tune, that all it takes to get those LS's moving. Good Luck!

  • as far as i know there arent any CAI for the '08 cobalt ls, i went with a K&N sr. can you explain anymore about the manifold? thanks

  • Yeah dude tons they have a Turbo modd for the LS and SS Versions From 05 + Other then that i'd suggest some Pacesetter Header and Downpipe With ur Choice of Outlet. Get a Good Tune and Drop a 50 shot your runnin with the big dogs!

  • Something's not right... Stock SS/SC' dyno right at 200whp my Stage 2 with a few bolt ons got 252.... That's without nitrous or anything like that.... Stage 3 is tuned to be lean in fact nearly too lean to be safe so IDK how it could be rich unless he's still got the stock pulley on there...

  • Everything is right. Different dynos, dofferent numbers. How did you go from 200 to 252 with just bolt ons? The AFR on the stage 3 while spraying was safe. Rich? what are you talking about? Stock pulley? No. I don't think so bud. It's a 76mm pulley. I've gone through 7 10lbs bottles of nitrous and the car couldn't be better. Have a nice day =)

  • go to your local speed shop. Not pep-boys or Kragen, an actual shop

  • i got 251whp with a few bolt ons as well. 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, cai, meth kit, heat exchanger and 1 step colder spark plugs

  • No cooling mods. At the time of the dyno, the aftercooler pump wasn't working. No I havn't done the By-Pass for the AC. I just swap in the Stage 2 pcm

  • It dynoed 175, with the bottle off, while the pcm was dumping a truckload of fuel. It was pig rich at 10 flat, loosing HP. Then we opened the bottle and it gained 100 from the loss. But normally, it put 218 with no nitrous.

  • What octane-fuel were you using with the 50-shot of nitrous pull? Shouln't the Stage 3 yield 260 hp with 100 octane fuel (and about 310 hp with the 50-shot of nitrous)?

  • 1. 100 octane.

    2. Yes 260 crank horsepower (per GM) 218x15%= 250 (close enough)

    3. Yes 310 crank horsepower (per GM) 275x15%= 316 (over a little)

    The numbers on the Dyno are Wheel Horsepower. This dyno is a dynapack. Most people figure a 15% drive terrain loss.

  • Is it possible that something is wrong with your car then. My bone stock Cobalt SS/SC had 211 hp on the dyno (at the wheels). If your stage 3 has only 218 hp at the wheels, then something isn't right.

  • With Stage 3, I put down 275 WHP not 218WHP. What kind of dyno did you use? The key thing to stage 3 is the 50 shot, which not only increased horsepwer, it increased TQ, I put down 307 to the ground. Different dynos will give you different numbers. You can't compare ground horsepower unless we are on the same dyno.

  • no nothing is wrong with his car. your 211whp dyno is pretty much dead on with a stock dyno. i hit 231/207 stock on an AWD dynojet. but PEAK hp doesn't mean shit. however i was able to back mine up with eight runs in the 1/4 mile of 14.2XX@10Xmph

  • 100hp gain? lol... ive never seen a stock LSJ dyno less than 200whp...
