I can easily recall the exact times (EST) of the planes hit the buildings (8:46, 9:03, and 9:37 EST), when UAF93 crashed (10:03) and when the towers collapsed (9:59 and 10:28), the day of the week (Tuesday), as well as all of the stuff asked in this video. I also remember exactly where I was when I heard about it, and vividly recall seeing the first tower collapse on the news. I was only 15 when the attacks occurred, and I'm not even American, but I remember this stuff.

Having lived in Rio, Warsaw and Hong Kong the answer is categorically yes, I can tell the difference
You act as though Americans are supposed to care what foreigners think of them, we don't; and we don't obsess over foreigners either, they all come here to do business and speak out of both sides of their mouth so we have thick skin and great perspective fully aware that at the end of the day overseas gossip is of no concern unlike foreigners who can't help but gossip about all things American

And as a matter of fact most of the bitching is predicated upon envy, i know that first hand, people fell America is too wealthy, too involved, to excessive, too this too that and then scramble for visas and green cards or bitch when America doesn't bail them out militarily or financially but puts forth faux outrage when America does intervene.
Frankly Americans don't care about chattering backpackers in New South Wales or Luxembourg, they have absolutely no reason to care.

What are you on about? I've never set foot in Australia. I was reassuring the guy that it's not only Americans that are made fun of. Plenty of show's exists that also make fun of other nationalities. That was the point I was trying to get across.

Nothing really... the guy was implying that everyone from other countries should be able to tell the difference between an American accent and any other English speaker- which is ridiculous. But yeah of course they edited the non-stupid ones out. It's still funny that there's people like this who don't pay any attention to the world around them.

Americans are not a an international joke.. they are a very serious reality.. Rather than trying to outsmart them.. with your prolific world knowledge of continents and languages how about trying to understand them for living in a repressive society .. They don't choose their education.. and just because we have, perhaps a more 'worldy' sense of education.. this doesn't make us any more righteous... when there's a tool running our country too.. Good point, I agree 100%. Hey by the way, I'm shit-house with my geographical and language knowledge. Shit-house. I can't tell the difference between ANY of those languages I mentioned, I was just making a point that the world is a biiiiiig place :)
