i also have the gz 7, a very nice beginner-cam, but the end of the footage it´s always red so that you have to cut it, meens you just have to think about this when you take a video............ah and very very nice pictures

I think the GZ-HD7 ia an awesome cam.

Auto mode lets it down sadly, and many judge it from that, but set things up in manual mode and you have a totally different camera with high end results.

I've added a few films myself using this cam.

the canon it's very good cam! but with the hd7, in manual mode you can do ANYTHING you want! iris, exposure, focus, sarpness, wb...

i use adobe premiere and adobe after effects for the filters from "film magic pro".

you don't have problem for the hd format.
