How do you keep a pair of stockings usable for 2 years?! I get a run in them within 10 minutes! This is a pretty hideous project, you are better off selling your spent stockings to perverts on craigslist than to be caught wearing that junk like a mentally deficient person. I really dont think theres a way to effectively transform old stocking into anything fashionable.

The only thing i can think of is to take some web-stockings and , if the hole/run is low enough on the leg, cut of part of the leg , make a hole for the head to turn them into a web t-shirt, kinda goth but is the only realistic option for stockings.

I would rather cut the stockings into loops and weave them into a pot holder then wear that necklace. Better yet cut them slip knot them into a long yarn then crochet or knit them into what ever you want. maybe even into jewelry OR stretch the hose over an embordery hoop and screen print with it.

if u get a tiny snagg or hole a good way to repair it is use clear nail polish it'll hold it together before it gets any bigger and itll stop it ripping any futher. Just close up the hole with ur hand and apply a small amount to the area.

Both are tacky... I'm betting everyone who requested something to do with old stockings is very disappointed. If she could cut it into strips, I doubt they would be her favorite stockings. I'm sure they wanted to be able to preserve the design. Headbands, armwarmers, sleeves, ways to sew it in/onto clothing.
