  • Maybe they brainwashed me into an architects course 0_0

  • THERE IS HOPE. Music is not dead. Thank god. First band in a long time that I enjoy this much.

  • The music came on and I instantly liked them. Yay for discovering a new band and liking them on the first song.

  • amazing

  • great song!!!

    this is my cover watch?v=frR-pzk0lLw

  • when i heard this song on the t.v earlier today, i alomost cried! i was so happy to finnally here these guys..even if it was a dumb comercial ;'D

    Love TGA!~ <3

  • 3 people are the DUMBEST people on earth.

  • "I still wanna be your man. I'm still these nervous feet and heart of stone."

    Takes balls to say.

  • This is one of my favourite songs!

  • fuck chopin...shits depressing !! WOOOOoooooOOOOO HEEEYYYY YAAAALZZ

  • saw them live, theyre really good

  • 4 days to go! I am going to see them at Pinkpop, can't bloody wait :)

  • Wow they were amazing Rock am Ring 2011!!! I love them!!!

  • You know, I've heard people compare this band to the likes of The Clash, Bruce Springsteen and Hot Water Music, but I will never understand how anyone could ever compare these guys to The Killers.

  • Stop comparing bands. The killers are different, have a different tone and style, and Bandon Flowers is legendary. What are you actually talking about, no passion or intensity? You know nothing. The Gaslight are also fucking awsome, and Brian Fallon is godlike, but the Killers are far closer to them than your label of 'generic pop band.' Now shutup the hell up, and enjoy the quality music. (Bam, you just got told by a 15 year old girl.)

  • @00lydz00 EXACTLY Killers are a beautiful and so are the gaslight anthem, let's leave it at that.

  • How can anyone not like this song?!

  • they remind me of the cure meets social distortion

  • does anyone know if theyre coming back to the US on tour??? specifically boston?

  • @ako2662 check out their website for updated tour dates, also brian fallon is involved with a new band The Horrible Crowes, they are supposed to have some material out soon too

  • PLEASE COME BACK 1950's :(

  • COME BACK 1950S :(

  • just great sound of a great band, nothing to add =)

  • I can't hear the Killers in Gaslight Anthem at all. I can hear hints of Springsteen, but that's because I'm a big fan. Saw both bands at Hard Rock Calling :)

  • i still wanna be your man, i'm still this nervous feet and heart of stone ...epic

  • what is this shit omg this is gay! time to go listen to some real music like just bieber and hannah montanna and jay z ooo yea zach brown band too. chicken freid now thats a song with soul not this bullshit that they put out there just make money damn you brian fallon

  • @ssyoshitaco this is either the best or worst sarcasm ever...

  • want to dance at my wedding to this song <3 (:

  • I used to think that they sound like the killers....until i went deeper into their catalog

  • A song that will NEVER get old!

  • One of my favourite GLA songs :)

  • Is there anyone else out there that hears little or no resemblance to The Killers singer? I'm tired of that comparison

  • @jrdngc61 Fan of both and I have a hard time hearing it :3

  • this makes me so happy!

  • they are great

  • these guys are soooooo underrated here in Canada, but wow I LOVE THIS BAND!!

  • Honestly great lyrics. These guys are so strange in a good way. This type of music can be so fun but you would never expect the lyrical depth. Awesome. So awesome.

  • if springsteen to play punk this is what he would play! (now thats a compliment!)

  • They are even better than boys from Against Me! :)

  • <3 :)

  • remind me of CCR (creedence clearwater revival) in this tune, and that is a great compliment.

  • forget this dead mans town ill take you home......AWESOME BAND LOVE IT!

  • A rockband with solid music, meaningful lyrics, and consistently good songs. Thank you God.

  • @Daveisthefreakingman In this day and age these bands dont come along every day, thank you GOD!!!

  • Im not gonna say shit about any other band, all I'm gonna say is that this band, this song, are fuckin incredible in every way, and that if you are any sort of middle class working person i feel like you are destined to love this band

  • dont have to be middle class working person to like this im a lower class student and i love it

  • haha yea man just an expression, middle class doesn't really mean what it used to

  • the only working middle-class people left in America are in wal-mart commercials.

  • let's not compare bands? i've never understood that. they're different people, this man and brandon flowers.

and i deffinately don't think it' about range.

    but, whatever.

    go gaslight anthem, go.

  • everyone needs to chill. sometimes being a great singer isnt about having the best range, its about how you sound

  • i absolutley love his raspy, gruff voice.

    its phenomenal!!!

  • i just started getting into gaslight anthem, i have to say that im obsessed. In their cd before this one his voice doesnt sound as much like the killers (the killers arent bad). Some times his voice sounds a little like rise against, a little like matt skiba from alkaline trio, and a little like the lawrence arms

  • the new lawrence arms (buttsweat & tears) sounds very much like 59 sound.

  • ahh man I didn't know it was out yet, Im gonna have to check that out

  • as much as I would like that to be true (because I am a huge RA and TGA fan) the singer's voice is not nearly as refined and amazing as Tim McIllrath's

  • well I don't mean all the time, like in the song "I coulda been a contender" and "boomboxes and dictionairies"

  • @FeltesVids im a huge fan of both as well and i think they both have their own unique sound ... they should tour together :)

  • @w0359529 its like a cross between the killers and bruce springsteen

  • exactly what i say.

SO good. they are super underrated.

  • who gave this thumbs down!! nothing wrong with what he said

  • the killers doest suck they are good but taylor is better for me

  • ok so the drum intro definitely brought an imgine of Sweet - Ballroom Blitz

  • lol i think your blitzed.

  • GASLIGHT ANTHEM ARE AMAAAAAAAAAAAZIN'

I really needed to get that out of my system! :D

  • you're taking the piss, right? The killers are a generic pop band, Brian Fallon actually knows how to write a song - I unfortunately saw the killers live at a festival about 4 years back and it basically sounded like they put their cd in and mimed with absolutley no passion or intensity (I know they didn't but it was extremely boring) - the gaslight have a much better more real sound live, I hate how people compare Fallon to that Bono wannabe from The Killers.

  • besides the huge differences Brian Fallon would kick the shit out of that guy Brian Fallon is a true working class song writer

  • how can people even compare the killers to gaslight anthem.

im sorry but killers suck .

brian fallon has a voice to die for.

  • Despite what style of music your prefer, I don't see how you could objectively say that Brandon Flowers doesn't have as good a voice. I think he's got a much stronger vocal register and wider range than Brian Fallon, but Brian is still a damn amazing singer.

  • well said

  • @UnosDosTres: These guy play rock for one reason. They have fucking freaking fun on stage. see them playing with "The Boss" Here: /watch?v=Ul0XCTeJx_o see bruce smiling at brian. and see them playing and singing with full emotion. Which other band, i tell them newcomers cuz they play not really long together, which other band has so much fun?!? The killers? all that mainstream suckers?

  • @UnosDosTres Wellll, I am a big gaslight anthem fan as well as a big killers fan, and its fine if you don't like the killers music, but i think you're going a little too far to say they have no passion or intensity live... i don't know what show you went to!

  • @UnosDosTres The leadsinger from the Killers released a solo album last year and it was pretty solid. They are not on The Gaslight Anthem's level but they are head and shoulders above "generic pop band"

  • Now ladies, you are both right.

Both bands are excellent, sound wise, lyrics wise etc.

The Killers got this slightly more "up in the blue" sound to them (see Spaceman amongst others) while GA are more down to earth. GA sings about more real things, and they do it damn fine. The Killers on the other hand are, as I said, more up in the blue, tad crazier and their lyrics are entertaining to analyze. But GA has one of the best voices I've heard in a long time.

  • i've never heard anything so untrue in my life

  • I have posted this video on my channel from hard rock calling 2009 a couple of nights ago, it was amazing! I have bruce springsteen and gaslight anthem playing 59 sound too, so check them out. Gaslight Anthem were influenced heavily by springsteen because they both came from new jersey. they were inspired by his music and his workrate to get out of there. Gaslight Anthem will be the next big thing, they truly are a spectacular band and it was an honour to see them at hyde park. good luck fallon.

  • does anyone know where i can cet the chords for this song?....all i can find is the tab for the solo

  • I Abosolutely love the killers but these guys are in a whole different league, its so rare that you come across a band that has this much heart and just pours it out on the stage and in how raw and honest their songs are. GA = The Win!

  • Hopefully the rumors of them playing lolla are true

  • they are the line up was posted on lollapaloozas website

  • yeah the gaslight anthem is real music in a time when we lost what real music actually was and slowly this sound will come back. at least that's what I believe

  • The Killers are awesome but these guys are better. The lyrics to EVERY SONG on this cd are amazing and their sound is better than the Killers'. Kinda like Social Distortion mixed with Bruce Springsteen

  • i was just thinking that!

yeah, they sound like Springsteen meets punk to me.

  • The next big thing

This is real music right here!

They deserve to be superstar legends!

  • Agreed. I just saw them in Columbus and they were amazing. The best new band I have heard in a decade if not longer.

  • @abcdefgreg12345 Did they break up? I saw them a few years ago opening for Rise Against and they said it's their last show. They were amazing live.

  • The Killers are a good band nothing more. The Gaslight Anthem are gonna be legends

  • how can brian fallon possibly be copmared to the faggot sing from the killers

  • okay he sounds nothing like the guy from the killers..they just use delay on their vocals when they were recorded..

  • qft the killers suck, brain fallon > that gay brandon guy and his shit band

  • im liking the use of >, massivley underused key!

  • lol

  • defintly a great use in this context

  • Heard this on a local college station. Great great song.

  • That's actually pretty accurate. hahah.

  • nice man i was gonna post this but you beat me to it posted them awhile ago but forgot this amazing song my mistake.

  • well said my friend, i live about 15 minutes from where they are from, they got a pretty good following around here, they are getting some satelite radio play(sirius punk) and on some local stations here. i truely hope these guys make it big they have so much talent. love the boss more then anything, and i feel like these guys are to our generation(im 19) what springsteen was to my parents. nothing but the best i hope for them

  • I can't believe these guys aren't already huge. They sound like what the Killers wanted to be on their 2nd album "Sam's Town." On that album the Killers clearly wanted to achieve this Americana sound reminiscent of Springting. They did it with limited success. Well here these true Jersey Boys (Porltand boy here, no bone to pick) pulled it off beautifully. This track along with The 59 Sound and Film Noir perfectly capture that ethos. Rock on fellas.

  • I Instead of many unnecessary question and exclamation marks you could've said something intelligent to contradict the other user or to back up the point that you didn't end up making.

However you did not, you suck, and he's a shit- ton of a better critic than you are.
