Rebatos function to emphasize the chord changes. I think she's usually right, but Jian Wang has it down to perfection. Bach does not have to be played to a metronome, but if you subjectively like a more strict tempo, I can understand that.

I'm not sure how I feel about her interpretations of Bach, mixed feelings. It's very methodical, but I think lacking in that wonderful openness of Baroque, but that's my opinion. Wonderful cellist.

Bach étant le plus grand compositeur qui ait jamais vécu, on peut remercier le ciel qu'il ait pensé au violoncelle. Sans ça je n'aurais jamais découvert sa musique, je n'aurais pas commencé le violoncelle, et je n'y aurait pas passé les deux dernière année de ma vie 5h par jour.

en fait, il y a un hypothèse dans les livres qu'à l'original, ce n'était pas pour violoncelle, mais pour un instrument que bach a inventé dont le nom m'échappe completement. C'était un instrument à 5 cordes, si j'ai bien compris à la même hauteur que le violoncelle mais plus petit se tenant comme un violon. D'ailleurs, il y a certains accords qui requiert 5 cordes.

oui en effet, au début de la sixième suite pour violoncelle figure le commentaire "prélude pour 5 cordes" mais il ne s'agit que de la sixième suite. les autres sont bel et bien pour un violoncelle. L'instrument en question est un violoncelle piccololegerement plus petit qu'un violoncelle normal (pour la virtuosité), et une corde de Mi supplementaire, mais l'instrument se tient comme un violoncelle normal

I have the impression I have always worked with them and I have played them often, but register them is nearly painful, because it is like touching to something which is holy.

Ceux qui disent qu'Anne Gastinel est une grande interprète, je les crois sur parole. Pour moi, un bon interprète est un interprète qui suit la partition et ne fait pas de fausse note. Passé ce cap, je suis bien incapable de saisir les nuances qui différencient un bon interprète d'un mauvaix interprète.

Pour moi, Anne Gastinel est avant tout une belle femme.

Tous les musiciens n'ont pas de ce genre de mimiques. Certains n'en n'ont même presque pas, mais généralement, pour ceux ont ce genre de "tics" presque, ceux-là varient en fonction de la pensée du musicien sur le moment ainsi que de la difficulté du morceau :/
