I own a 2010 A2b bike i love it, i live in NYC and i take it thur Central Park, it turns a lot of heads because they can't figure out what kind of bike it is , it looks like a scooter with pedals, when my legs get tired i use the motor or when i reach a long hill that's when i pass every one in Central Park except for the speed riders on their racing bikes, what i like about the bike is that i does not make any noise at all , it goes 20 mph, i have two batteries each one carrying 20 miles p hr
anyone know how to open the battery? I removed all the screw but it wont open. Pretty sure there is clip inside but dont know exact location. Any help will be good.
I wonder how this would compare to a Busettii Electric bike ? They run 60 miles on a charge and weigh about 55 lbs. so that seems like its better. I see them at busettii.com web page. Any one ever rode a Busettii ?? Rainbow
Its a really nice bike! its the fastest electric bike on the market at the moment. I've got a bright orange one which draws lots of attention! If your looking for one in the UK, you can get one from ww w.smartebike. co.uk based in North London!
not bad except it should have no pedals and should have a nice wide comfortable seat like a moped. carrying your entire weight on your crotch is just not civilized
Sorry guys but as per usual the oil industry strikes again. Search for "Russian ultra efficient magnet motor". Unfortunately you have to understand dutch but at the end the inventor makes a key point, for every 1 kilometer you pedal, the battery will be recharged to get you an extra kilometer. On no website or any a2b does it mention this bike is capable of it hence it's gone from being an amazing invention to something okay where you're still chained to the oil cartels.
I just test rode this today in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, and absolutely loved it. It was a nice sunny day here in Seattle, and it was great riding around the neighborhood. I didn't even want to return it. Super quiet and goes up to 20 mph. I think you might be able to go faster if you pedal too. Goes for around 2700....ouch!!! But for folks living in the city, it's great! If it was only late spring time, I would consider getting it. They do have a financing program for it.
It is heavy because it is sturdy with serious range. For professionals who cannot park a Vespa outside, this is a good choice for motorized urban transportation. It is very well engineered and unlike a Vespa, you can bring it up to your apartment for the night.
Sweet. I can see how this could be useful in a city, or getting around a big university. To bad I don't have a use for it, I live in the country. Plus it costs more than my car.
Take away bike from his hands. He can break anything ))))))))

What makes this better than a Europa that's much less expensive to buy?
loganmcarter 2 years ago
twice the range and more torque for the hills. i had a Europa, loved it, but the a2b is miles ahead in performance.

Kind of like those car things where you just press your foot down but at least there's the option to do exercise.
