This Marine was on riot control in Okinawa 1972. We were given a survey. One of the questions was "Would we fire on US Citizens in a riot situation"? After we all finished we returned to our barracks. We talked about that question and all came to the same conclusion. If that happened we would do an about face and take our commanders into custody and move right on up the chain of command. See we swore an oath to defend the US Constitution till our death by combat or old age.
