@karadan100 The Det is a now disbanded unit that was the precurser for the Special Reconnaissance Regiment. They were made up of SAS, SBS, MI5 & MI6 guys, who served with them for a year or so before returning to their main unit. They gathered intel to provide the main SAS & SBS Sabre squadrons with plenty of operations. They were limited to Northern Ireland and Andy McNab spent most of his time with them breaking into IRA members houses and planting bugs to gather all the intel they can.
