if you want cheap but good quality, an old canon hv20 is good. only problem is it uses casset tapes. if you want High quality you can get into the SLR world. (professional photo cameras that take amazing videos) try youtube searching "canon t2i video" i recommend the "cannon 60d" cause you can input a mic. Hope this helps through my camera experience

Ha i wish I played the violin. I play the cello since I was 9 and it's really depressing to not hear any cello players playing rpg music on YouTube. But great job. There is this one song I just adore, and it doesn't sound too right on cello. You think you ever concider playing it if I asked which I'm doing right now ?

*sigh* glad im not the only one that finds playing by ear is way easier and more challenging. i must ask though... is it absolutely necessary to go to lessons enable to be good? because i live in a small town where we really only have a 'typical' band, no string instrumentals. im teaching myself based off of youtube videos and soon ill buy some books. some people say thats bad because you teach yourself bad habits. =/

@NancyDrewGameGuides Yes it is really important to have lessons at the begining stages. You really would pick up really bad habits and those bad habits would prevent you from playing certain pieces...which would limit you to what you can and can not play. If you can not get lesson at all try at least looking at some videos here on youtube or a website. Try chamberhymsdotcom which is benchanviolins web site...he has a lot of experience and has his degree in music or try professorv

I'm a senior in high school and I know I'm going to major in music education and for a while I've been thinking about whether to minor in psychology. I'm somewhat interested in the subject, and my current psych class is not necessarily boring, but it seems tedious. I have a feeling I probably won't choose that as a minor.

Anyways, I'd recommend the Logitech C910 USB HD Webcam. Pretty good cam, imo. Maybe a bit high on the price, but take a look @ e.g. amazon and decide for yourself. The comments should there should help, too.

Kodak Zi8. Records 1080p, has a port for external MIC, I don't know how you record the sound for your videos currently, but this would be the best way, by getting a good quality MIC.
