These government-run, tax-funded, criminally abusive roundups seem to increase, despite the laws to protect wild horses and burros. Thousands of phone calls, letters, emails, post cards, FAX's, plus law suits and personal appeals to the whitehouse and congress are ignored, and the welfare of the victims disregarded, while the heartless acts of violence against innocent continues. It's Despicable! Where's the Outrage? Media is almost silent on this matter!

This is so very sad. I hope everyone read's David Martin Anderson's latest novel, THE LAST GOOD HORSE, which just got released (available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble). The plot is set in 1939 Montana and has to do with the slaughter of the last great mustang herds. Great story! Also, check out the author interview on YouTube (search by the author's full name).

Maybe I am stupid, but as a child I fell in love with the horse when I was 5 year old riding in the back seat of the car seeing a herd of wild mustangs running in the desert. That image has stuck with me for all my life. Now, I watched my grandpa plow and we hitched up to get wood for the winter. I always knew I wanted a horse. I rode the plow horse, Maude. I got my 1st horse when I was in my 30's. I was not privileged. Do not take away the dream.

Hundreds of millions of our tax dollars at work. Hundreds of millions more are spent annually feeding the horses in holding pens in the Midwest. There are more in holding than on the range. Notice that all the horses are healthy, none are skinny. The excuse that they are over populated and starving simply isn't true. There are ten million cattle out there and less than 20,000 horses left on the range with 40,000 in holding. It is a crime.
