@SgtCrom now you're off on some next level philosophy manoevres mane!!! plus that was a year ago, fermented offal discharge as a song title has nothing to do with the band being together for a set period or being "tight", its just a sweetass name for a sweetass song. offal = guts. obviously the methane inside the intestine as a byproduct of decomposition has caused the rotting juices to discharge. Its like calling a song mutated cryptic diarrhea, the mutated part doesn't forseed into my band...~

Never hurts to have keys as well. I've always thought bands with keys are a step up cuz they get that musical/thematic edge...thus far I've yet to be proven wrong.

@Spjungen yeah most of the time keys suit metal well, but with dark tranquillity they pretty much ruin the whole band for me ;(

@theregnar02 Hmm I'll have to check em out...hard to imagine keys ruinining anything though (provided of course an actual musician is at them), in my opinion they really go a long way to add a sort of artistic credibility and uniqueness to any genre of metal...I consider them pretty much essential for the most part :D

Yea this is my first exposure to Norther as well and its fantastic. I've only recently gotten into metal bands within the last 10 years or so. Don't know why I had my head up my ass for so long as far as metal goes. Never too late to change tho and I'm 54!

i always read people comparing norther to bodom so i picked up the..........northerN album i think. and i was disappointed but i guess thats probably what old school norther fans consider a weak effort. idk im new to the band. BOdom is my fav band os all time but still this is great stuff.
