  • oops i pressed the dislike button by accident was leaning on the mouse pad love the song however perfect dramatic love song lol

  • they really should make this their single..

  • Love Lifehouse A Lot There Newest Album Is Great! As Always :) Xx-xX

  • Hip Hop Lifehouse song?

  • I wish this could fill my lungs instead of air right now...

  • This is an absolute masterpiece. Such an incredible set of emotions in this song. Jason Wade, I want to be you.

  • its a shame that a song as good as this one is hidden within a horrible album. just totally the wrong style for a band as great as Lifehouse. great song, regardless of all that.

  • @cletiger10 i wish they would at least put the live verson on a cd, i can stand that one...

  • @haileynleslie yea the live version is legit. saw them in clemson, still so good live. it's a shame what they've become. "No Name Face" and "Smoke and Mirrors" are back-to-back on my iPod (the entire albums). If you listen to them through, it sounds like a totally different band from "No Name Face" to "Smoke and Mirrors."

  • @cletiger10 ya NNF is one of my all time fave albums...i saw them in nampa and plan to see them again if they're ever in the area again.

  • I've been humming this song for the last couple of days. I know I liked this song very much but it just doesn't feel like listening to a Lifehouse material. And honestly, I think the song would've been alot better without those back singing or whatever it's called!

  • its water under the bridge, you said it i get it it is what it is

  • ...we hit a wall and we can't get over it....

  • love the lyrics...only if it was guitar instead of pop-ish stuff...

  • Its True... Everything in life... It is what it is...

  • gawd i love is voice! ^^

  • I am in love with this song! So simple, but it explains so much. :)

  • well lifehouse the best for everything =]

  • I don't think that enough people REALLY do realize what a musical genius that Jason Wade is. The music, the lyrics, the vocals, the overlays and underlays of instruments and backing harmonies, etc., etc.,etc.

  • my fav song from them by far

  • This is my all time favorite song......and so true in my life.....

  • i will see them soon in wiesbaden, germany! :)

  • They live version is filled with so much emotion, and guitars :)

I didn't reallylike this song till I came across a live version, now I am a fan.

  • my favorite so far in this album, love it!

  • I drove around yesterday for 2 hours listening to this song over and over. The lyrics are so amazing.

  • I miss it!!!

  • This song is so loaded with feeling.

  • i always listen to their music at night with my ipod and my cigarettes

  • This is like one of my new favorite songs, they just keep getting better. =]

  • their new style of songs are so much better. i like this album the most out of all of them

  • Haha, too bad that I like Backstreet Boys too :P.

But I do agree that I like the "ealier Lifehouse's style" in the first two albums

Because, like you guys said, it's more real, unique Lifehouse's sound

  • Amazing*

  • @StrangeKindOfNormal: HA! I like the way you reason! I've kind of been thinking that myself. Even if it isn't true, it makes me feel better about this album.

  • omg i get such an indescribable feeling </3

  • <3!

  • Lifehouse is a huge influence on my music but this song, i don't know, sounds closer to a Backstreet Boys song. I guess they were slowly making a move into this commerical sound already but long live Stanley Climbfall era lifehouse!

  • @matchbox202006: I kind of figured that this new CD was going to be a little more mainstream and it does have a HINT (very minimal though!) of a Backstreet Boy thing, but it's still lovely. It still maintains that Lifehouse-feel to it that their past songs have had. I loved it the first time I heard it (but long live Stanley Climbfall!)

  • I'm just gonna call it them trying to get more fans...and those fans will listen to their old stuff and then those people will know what real music is!!!! It's a brilliant plan really...I am just gonna stick with that, it helps me sleep at night :)

  • @StrangeKindOfNormal -YES! that's absolutely what happened! i saw them w/ daughtry and immediately fell in love, went home and bought the 5 albums of theirs! i mean, yes, i knew all of the radio hits, but little did i know that every song by them is genius!

  • @matchbox202006 the album version does kind of sound backstreet boy-ish, but the live version is absolutely beautiful and touching! i just saw them earlier this week performing with daughtry and thought this song was the sentimental highlights of their performance.

  • i love this song!

  • i guess It Is What It Is

  • they dont sound like a band here but its cool

  • Ahh, what a beautiful song <3

  • Does anyone notice that the line shortcut home is in both The Joke and this song. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this song because I can relate to it, but...there is that similarity there.

  • @Nightrise02 OH YEA

  • @Nightrise02 everyone is running out of lyrics already..

  • being a line from the same writer I wouldn't really count it as a bad thing...I think its very interesting and actually something original...never heard a writer return to a specific lyric that he used in a previous song.

  • Check out nerve damage

  • i love smoke&mirrors i got the deluxe version so cool

  • Love lifehouse, and switchfoot!

  • what u do not like switchfoot : )

  • ?? yes I LOVE switchfoot!(most their stuff)

  • do you have hallo horricane

  • yep

  • @krisp8888 it is so cool : )

  • Lifehouse is still amazing, this CD is a good. Even this song, I hate the pop sound, but they still found a way to make it into a great song. My only problem is they don't have stand out songs on this album like they did on all their other albums. There are no songs on this one that will never get old, like Hanging by a Moment, You & Me, Everything, Broken, Breathing, Storm and so on. This CD isn't going to hang around like their others have, and will. Just my opinion.

  • their songs on this album are good... but that's it. i wish they could get back to their original phenomenal sound. like in their first album 'no name face'. now that's the lifehouse i remember and love.

  • I don't know why everyone loves this song, it's my least favorite...But I guess people who love pop will like it. I suppose I would like it if it was guitar, bass and drums...I'm not a big fan of synthesizers

  • I agree and disagree. Would like it without synthesizers, but still very catchy and one of my faves off new album

  • @strangekindofnormal.

Check out Had Enough and All In.

  • i cant believe it!!!!

    i actually like this one

    ü

  • They should make this a single!! ;)

  • i asked 3 friends who loved lifehouse and they agreed that falling in is the best song on this album

  • My top favorites are:

    1. All that I'm asking for

    2. Falling in

    3. It is what it is

  • Comment removed

  • i cant say this is my favorite album but its not my least favorite either... lifehouse needs to find there place back to what they were cuz this is not it.. there songs are amazinggg.. and no he does not sound like daughtry.. they both have different styles and its really not that hard to tell

  • Daughtry is Amazing, and no, anyone who thinks they sound similar, well have never heard either of em.

  • No really, Lifehouse is THE best...

  • I love Lifehouse so much, but I have to admit that I miss the highlights.. This is the only song I like in this album. I love songs like hanging by a moment, you and I, blind, storm and good enough. They are all amazing.

  • i know right i love all those songs.. i miss how they used to be

  • While once again, miss the old lifehouse, and originally this song was just "Pretty Catchy", I have found this song is infectious and I literally cannot get the words or tune out of my head no matter how many other songs I play!

  • " you said it, i get it, i guess it is what it is"

he is a talented guy hes amazing how can u not resist loving his songs but idk his new album doesnt sound more like him

  • terrible..... I love lifehouse but not this, not this album at all.

  • same here

  • i don't really care if it does sound more pop, I can't stop listening to it haha :D And I'm sure a lot of us can relate to the emotional lyrics...

  • I think that this album is good but i agree with many that it is a bit too poppish. If only they retain a little of their older style.

  • completely agree. Ya know ok, change it up, grow, but keep a little bit of what made you so successful to begin with

  • pretty good albumm but i miss their older style..

    LiFeHouSe<3

  • @xgrapeloverx2114 i agree... it seems a little too common their new stuff.. their first two albums had very distinctive sounds..

  • i went everywhere and coulndt find the album anywhere!!!! but its such a great cd :) :) i was relly pissed tho

  • the album comes out tomorrow xD

  • my favorite from smoke and mirrors... but i gotta admit, hanging by a moment, lfirst time, and you and me are still better but this is good too... :)

    I LOVE LIFEHOUSE!!!

  • I like the sound of the chorus and bridge, but not any of the verses. If they change the sound of it I would like it better.

  • it is what it is is a 'Broken" version in their new album.. I love the beat of this song and has a quick recall to the audience

  • -sigh- The lyrics are good, but I just don't understand the poppiness of it. I think they had gold with NNF. Stanley Cimbfall was good too, maybe a bit darker with the style, but still great. Their self titled was slow, but it still had some great songs on it. Who We Are was slightly disappointing, but this's just....ugh. :|

I mean it's new music, but I'm still disappointed. /:

  • @stanleyclimbfall721 i totally agree with you, no name face and stanley ware the best. This is to much pop!

  • all of their albums are totally awesome..

  • @Dort926: I think they're tired of being known as "that band" who does "Hanging by a Moment". They really aren't as popular as us fans might think. I think you're right about wanting to reach a different crowd.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dort, it's pretty good and its a good album

  • I love this song so much

  • Not my favorite, but I'm more of a rock girl than a pop girl. I mean its not bad but I don't find myself listening to this or Falling In more than a few times...just to analyze it. lyrically is good, but the pop sound doesn't do it for me. Jason needs to a) rock out or b) complete love soaked ballad.

  • this song is really amazing !!!!!

  • Best song on their new album!

  • i gotta say best album yet! :-) wonder if they will ever make it to the UK on tour?

  • i really hope so!

  • pop

  • AMAZING omg my heart is racing <3

  • My favorite one on the album

    LOVE LIFEHOUSE <3

  • One of my favorite song in the album. A sad song that is worth singing.

  • Jason Wade, can in my mind, do nothing wrong. He is a lyrical genious and everything he touches turns to gold. I would fly to the moon and back for this band!

  • too much emotion..

jason wade's lyrics are too good to listen.

i guess it is what is!

  • According to Jason, this song isn't a break-up song or a love song. He said it's about a relationship just taking it's natural course. An "exhale" as said.

  • in a live performance he is gonna make a lot of woman cry like little babies:)

  • @tijnvandenhurk ill be crying like a little bitch :P

  • I kind of agree with the boy band comments. This song does not come close to First Time. Although lyrically it is still good because it is written by Jason Wade. I am guessing this one was recorded to be a radio hit maybe?

  • reminds me of BSB.

  • this is probably my favorite one off the new album...

  • Comment removed

  • This song sounds like a boy band. It bothers me.

  • It doesn't bother me, but it really does sound like a boy band. It sounds like a pop sound.

  • I really love this song!:) And Lifehouse too! They are great! My favourite band!(L)
