  • @Epicnerdgasm mee too .

  • Is This Obamas Faave snaack ?

  • Add Tapatio to your fritos and you wont stop munching on them.

  • Since when does a Fritos bag stand up like that alone without falling?

  • @visor109 Great question.

  • I can remember that commercial. Now I'm going to hear Muncha Buncha Frito's go with lunch the rest of the day. HA!

  • I hate these things (they smell terrible!), but I sure remember this commercial, and find myself singing it (!)

  • @Debbienezfan Totally agree. I don't even like to be at the same table someone is eating them. That and corn nuts.

  • ugly ass white kid

  • thumbs up if U were eating fritos while watching this

  • Looks like Chuckie

  • This was a retro commercial even back then. The Munch a Bunch song was used in the early 1960s.

  • @loyaltubist

Being that I was born in 1969, I did not know that! Thank you very much for sharing!

  • @loyaltubist

I don't believe that's the case. Fritos advertising before this campaign featured the Frito Bandito.

  • I remember it well and so does my mother.

  • That kid looks like Carol Burnett.

  • That kid looks like a retarded ape with a bowl cut.

  • Who else put Fritos into their sandwich? That was such a great lunch, ham, cheese and Frito sandwich. yum.

  • This shit is so creepy.

  • You know that haircut is like an advertisement for bullies.

  • @tonybklyn Today a kid with that haircut would be picked on or beaten up by bullies but

this commercial is from the 70's when that kind of haircut was in style.

  • @Immortal1000 I'm from that era, and I can tell you...it may have been popular with mother's who wanted a cute "little buster brown" image for thier kids...BUT it was a rather "sissified" to the average he-boy, so you would have been picked on.

  • They didnt even have their own jingle - it's ABBA DABBA HONEYMOON they're using as the melody! (And that dates from 1914!) Pretty simple production, as was all the advertising then.

  • i grew up in the 70s and 80s...talking about "jarring my memory"? wow

  • so cute.

  • MUNCHA MUNCHA MUNCHA MUNCHA MUNCHA FRITOS GO WITH LUNCH!

  • Now that you are all grown up slap your mom for horrible haircut.

  • I still sing this song in my head when I think of Fritos, I am an advertisers dream I guess

  • That was a priest handing him those chips.

  • @warrkrymez win.

  • @warrkrymez Not funny

  • don't forget the bean dip...LOL

  • I think this kid rode the blue bus.

  • Why the hell was the kid laughing like that? 0__o

  • @Alana8480 PROBABLY STONED

  • The kid looks retarded. Probably the producer's son,

  • so full of good corn taste!

  • Looks like Leif Garrett''s homely little brother, lol.

  • I WAS A YEAR OLD, IN 1978. THANKS FOR THE GODDAMN MEMORIES!!!

  • Boy that sure takes us back to childhood..10yrs old then

  • Gosh I remember this but they must have showed it when I was older too because I would not have remembered it from 1978. I was only three.

  • please upload the 80s version

  • I think the boy's name is Chris Staggs or something like that.

  • This was after he got fired from Page Boy paint.

  • classic!

  • WTF With the Intro Song?

  • I remember that commercial, who was that cute little boy?

  • Comment removed

  • where's the Bean dip ;D

  • what an ugly kid

  • Yes...he is ugly.

  • "Throwback" wrappers are co

  • i remember this commercial! lol

  • q niño tan cagado

  • Ok. Now I want FRITOS. And I want them IN THAT BAG!!!!!! :-D

  • ,,are you Adam Rich ?

  • Ok yes this was 30 years ago and that kid is now my brother in law,,at least he made a bunch of money for 30 seconds and went on to do other commercials

  • Yeah, now how many times have I heard people say that the kids on the commercials are related to them. We know you aren't telling the truth dude. Its easy to tell cause You just want attention...

  • dude, do you know how easy it is to get into a commercial? Lots of people know people who have been in commercials. Lots of people have been in them themselves. If he wanted to lie for attention, don't you think he'd say his relative did something... a little cooler?

  • Comment removed

  • tell him i'm sorry about the hair.. No one should do that to a child

  • I haven't seen in this commercial in 31 years but as soon as it started I could sing along exactly with the "Munch-a-bunch" song. Seriously, it has been over three decades and this song is still trapped in my memory.

  • Me too! This is one of those songs, the Brady Bunch song, that just becomes part of your brain. I still sing this when I'm making lunch, even though I never have Fritos.

  • @cmillinsf Mine too! It's funny how so many (commercials) seem quite familiar, but others -- like this one -- even though you haven't thought of them in decades, spring right back all the way in within the first three seconds!

  • @cmillinsf Me too. I just clicked on this thing and 33 years later a remember this song from when I was a little kid like it was yesterday. It's amazing what are brains store. Meanwhile , I can hardly remember what I did last week !

  • @cmillinsf Ditto. Damn you jingle writers!!!

  • @cmillinsf me too.

  • @cmillinsf Me, too!

  • @cmillinsf

    Same here! Weird.

  • QUE FEO NIÑO, no se me antojaria comer fritos

  • nothing gives you dry mouth like fritos. need a freaken gallen of water after just a handful or two.

  • I found that I knew all the words as it was playing (I was born 1966) - HILARIOUS! And, to GlockMeAmadeus7: I love your handle! (someone should make a parody song)

  • Jesus....the face of Frito's 1978.

  • Im sorry mr vegan police, but that is not white bread.

  • pml

  • whats "pml" sorry, i dont speak english...or read!! = S

  • pissing myself laughing

  • hahaha thnx dude =) cool!

  • @CubensisAtiv4Strings and I am shure that you are a freakin' stud or beauty queen--what a fuckin' asshole. i hope your kids only look half as good as this kid--what goes around ocmes around. my sister thinks she is hot and is all about looks and her kids are fugly

  • @CubensisAtiv4Strings U SHOULDN'T SAY THAT..CHILDREN R ANGELS WHETHER

    THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL OR UGLY..

  • @UM0kusha0kusha ...well, he is an ugly angel. x D

  • @CubensisAtiv4Strings okay..this is your own opinion & i respect it but I just know that the angels are always beautiful

  • The tune for this commercial is from a very old song (1914) called Aba Daba Honeymoon.

  • Unlike some people on this thread, I for one appreciate this commercial being posted. I remember it very well...And my dad used to work for Frito-Lay around the time this commercial was aired.

  • The way to make this commercial better: At the last second add a huge explosion.

What? The themesong made me think my comuter was going ton explode..

  • Kid: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA-

    -BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

  • Damn, that kid's ugly.

  • omg he takes a bite out of the sandwich at 0:13 but @ 0:16 the sandwich has no bite out of it wtf

  • its the other half lol

  • its the other half i think

  • lol he only eats 1 bit eof teh sandwich...great job kids mom ur teaching him to eat junk instead of the healthy food lmao.

i wonder where this kid is now...EPIC FAIL

  • that sandwich is made with white bred wich is HORRIBLE FOR YOU

  • Chips is good for any meal!

  • I remember this commercial when I was a kid. Memories.

  • i want to K.O. that kid!

  • What was it about freakish red headed freckled kids in 1970's advertising

  • @puppetboyshow

Man, I know the colors are a wee bit washed out but you must be color blind! Even for simple comparison, the Fritos bag right next to him has red & yellow. Hmmmm, his hair seems to match closer to the yellow, geez, maybe he's a blonde?! Or maybe the red stripes on the shirt matching the bag?

Go to the doctors, get your eys checked.

He's blonde (or dirty blonde if you want to be specific)

  • omg god im never going 2 see that worst song and the kids bucked teeth ever again

  • Im scared !

  • That kid has problems who the hell would eat a frito and start laughing with joy maybe if there was meth in them. :/

  • ,,it was the 70s, times were so good you didn't need to take meth to laugh !

  • @PupuTheClown Yea, especially with disco, the clothing, & hair styles. If that didn't make you laugh, there was always ample amount's of cocaine & "ludes". :-P

70's were awesome! I was born in 71 & IMO, it was the best time to be a kid/grow up in. Then again, every generation must think that I guess.

  • ,,well I was to young to even consider cocain, mushrooms or pot, I just played outside all the time with my friends and hung out at the railroad tracks (but later I got into psychedelic cotton candy,,lol)

  • hehehe....Funny :-)

  • @PupuTheClown No they weren't. The 70s sucked so bad we had to distract ourselves as much as possible.

  • @PupuTheClown i think the '90s were the best decade

  • So... annoying!!!

  • It's true that fritos make lunch better

  • People in town (SA. Tx ) say the owner of Frito (Frito-Lay) stole the recipe of the fritos from an old mexican man in San Antonio, Tx who made them in his home from masa, lard ,salt cooked them in his home and sold them in small brown bags to the public..the anglo man bought them one day market them as Fritos..mexicans called them fritas back then .if you ask him now he will tell a different tale while he remains a billionaire the old man, now deceased and his famiky got nothing. what a scam..

  • anglo man.

  • prove it...

  • Don't know if this is true but frying tortillas and making them into chips did originate in Mexico. Fritos in spanish means "fried." The word Doritos is also a spanish word meaning "fried tortilla"

  • ya all these snacks are retarded,im stickin to munchies

  • Forgot about "muncha buncha". Thanks!

  • Haha god damn, muncha buncha Muncha Buncha MUNcha BUNcha MUNCHA BUNCHA MuNcHaBuNcHa!!! MUNCHAUNUBNVUBCUHRBVBSUHRBVRUSBYSH it kept getting faster and faster haha xD

  • If you ever go on a camping trip make sure you bring these with you. They make great campfire fuel.

  • Man, I remember that commercial from back then...and now will have "MUNCHA BUNCHA" stuck in my head all day. Thanks :D

  • that kid looked wayyyyy too happy eating those chips...

    wow...

  • Because they laced it with weed thats why he looked so happy! =)

  • i WAY prefer the frito bandito to this mahn..

  • My elementary school cafeteria would serve us a snack size bag of Fritos, cut down the side, filled with chili & beans. They called it a pepper belly. Now they're called "frito pies"...

  • Why is it people back then looked different?

  • cause there from another Time Zone.....

  • I am talking about facial structure and such.

  • racial mixes

  • foods. chemicals. radiation. media. mixes of race. everything you can think of. more aliens on the planet. HA!!

  • lunch timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ok boys 30 mins for lunch

  • I haven't seen this commercial in 30 years!

  • the sound of the laughing doesnt fit with the kids face at the end, lol

  • I'd prefer the Fritos Honey BBQ Twists than Regular Fritos. But will eat regualr if available at home or in the mood while shopping.

  • I think those babys were laced with LSD judging from the kid giggling

  • and that is exactly the attitude today. everything has to do with crack, and weed, and tagging. I wish i could go back to the 70's! too bad it was 20 years before i was born. :(

  • I wonder why that kid has the munchies?

  • lol How munchy ..Gotta love those Heath Foods : )

  • Fritos are my favorite chips. The ones I like are Original and Scoops.

  • nooosa que menino feio...

  • Remember this too.

  • I remember this commercial. Typical lame 70's commercial

  • I still like Fritos with my lunch.

  • Looks like Mom put the Fritos on Junior's plate right about the time the acid started kicking in.

  • make the sandwich more interesting, place the chips inside the sandwich to make a "chip-wich".

  • I do that ever since I was little, it is so good.

  • Haha, I always do that

  • wtf??? lol

  • wow, I remember this now, like you can enjoy lunch now that you have Fritos! also seems like the tune is based on "Abba Dabba Honeymoon" by Debbie Reynolds?

  • That kid looks like a 9 year old Bjorn Ulvaeus.

  • Ok i think i watched way too much tv as a kid. I was only 8 when this commercial came out and I guess it stuck in my head all these years because I just watched this commercial and knew all the words lol!!!! I havent seen this commercial in 30 yrs!

  • lol man, who gives their kids chips at dinner????

  • 0:17 that sandwich looks dry as hell, instead of fritos maybe he should get some mayo

  • omg.

    omg.

you made me laugh so hard.

    my stomach hurts.

    omg.

    hahahahahahahahahaha.

  • LOL!!!!!

  • I still love Fritos with lunch!!

  • you are supposed to eat the chip, not bite off a small part!

  • People get so hung up on this child obesity/vegan stuff...It's just a commercial.

    What is a "graveyard"?

  • Holy crap I had forgotten all about this commercial, but the damn song instantly shocked that part of my memory into action and I began singing. Wow

  • Isn't that cool how that happens? We have so much stored up there, just needs a bit of prodding to show up again! :)

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmm fritos. fritos r good! im eating them right now!

  • Wow, I'd forgotten all about this one. Set to the tune of "Abba-Dabba Honeymoon"!

  • oh fucking no

  • This was the beginning of the obesity epidemic. "Yum, junk food is fun!"

  • LAUGHED MY BALLS OFF!

  • Sounds like a shotgun at 12 and 17

  • SHARKTEETH!

  • Your Royalfuzziness: YOU ARE MISSING OUT! lol j/k

Well, it certainly takes the boredom out of eating an ordinary sandwich. Hence, I was one of those kids that drank a "Suicide"

"Suicide" is when you combine all different kinds of sodas and fruit punches into one drink, hence...A suicide. Although the mixture is the same but the name of it may vary amongst different social circles.

Suicide is not for those with sensitive stomach.

  • LOL We used to call those "Graveyards"

  • Jeez, corn chips aren't that exciting! I never understood these commercials where the kid is giggling uncontrollably about something as dumb as a corn chip! Ritalin, anyone? LOL

  • Back then, we were "hyperactive", and didn't have ADD. No one gave us drugs and we turned out fine! I think we did!

  • Great message. If kid won't eat real food, give him junk food. Notice how he eats one bite of the sandwich, and other than that, he's only eating the Fritos.

  • that kid looked inbred did he not?

  • lol
