just a tip, the further your hand is tword the muzzle the easier it is going to be to controll your rifle especialy with a heavy piston gun like this 1. the vertical grip by the mag wel is going to aid in muzzle sway, and other problems. id recomend at least putting your thumb up over the bore at the 10-11 oclock on the rail. let your thumb rest n between the top and left rail. hope it helped, have a good one

Nice Rifle, Lame Song. Furniture looks great. Ditch the holo and Drop some coin on the Leupold HAMR. Best optic hands down for the16" AR platform. Fixed 3X and a red dot. Juss sayin.

@prswhore``` or an aimpoint micro with a 3x flip to side mount. you get 3x wen you need it, and just the 0x dot when you dont. i personally dont see the point in fixed power red dots. if i wanted a fixed power id go with a scope. i dont know, thats just me. or a trijicon acog, thats a good choice if you wanted a fixed sight, and the tritium would aid in quik target aquasition. and more durable. again thats just my opinion. do you run your gun taticaly, for hunting, or just for home defence?

@Nicho2177 its piston drivin and it comes with alot of extras i love the gun. I would like to buy another one. I have the sr556 but i would get the sr556c because it i a half a pound lighter in the front everything else is the same. will run you around $1350 to $1600

You pretty much did with yours what I'm going to do with mine once I get it.

Only i'll be putting a high impact plastice lower on mine, with matching hand guards for grip and stock. and I'll put a vortex on the front in place of the bird cage.

Nicely done. The SR-556 is a great rifle, although the front sight gets a little hot after firing 20+ Rnds. It's unavoidable though, due to the piston design. It also doesn't like Wolf ammo. Other than that, it's a very sound rifle and is quality-made. I love the desert tan mods that you added to it....makes it look that much tougher!!!!

i use PMC ammo never had any prob with it and its the cheapest i can find for $8 for 20rd at Cabelas still alot of money though.

Are you having any problems with bolt carrier tilt? I own one and I've had nothing but problems with mine. First off, it jammed a lot because the feed ramps are a lot narrower than my Army issued M4. And because of that it scarred up my ammo pretty bad and left a lot of metal shavings inside. And the bolt carrier tilt problem has my buffer tube pretty ate up too. Any of this sound familiar with yours?

couldn't you just replace the stock tube if it did get worn from the tilt? It would take 10,000 rounds to go all the way through.

but why are you bolt carrier tilt problems? so far i have only ever heard of that happening on converted AR's....if you truly are having that problem Ruger will fix it. Those are M4 feed ramps so i really don't get what you got going on.... let youtube know though cause i'm getting ready to buy one, and wouldn't mind knowing how it goes for you. I have heard though, Ruger is cool about fixing their stuff.

you should make a video of you blasting targets. my setup is close to yours. Here's something that you might like, but its not needed. The Rainier Arms, grip thingy that you put on your pmags. It's like skateboarder tape that helps you grip your mags.
