Jesus Christ wasn't a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim it was God. Jews seem to love money. Christians and Muslims seem to hate money we just want a share system. Where we all go work at the farm and share the wealth. Christians and Muslims have no right to "kill the jews" we have every right to end the monetary system as a whole. This is not about naming a scapegoat. This is true about the whole debt process, but you will see more scapegoating of groups that are from the outside the mainstream in America as well. Muslims and undocumented workers will be placed in private prisons or camps, because it is what our country does. They interned Japanese Americans during the war. Why would they not use the same bargaining chip to incite anger? It is also designed to label people who oppose the government.

If only your words could reach everyone. I'm prepared for the worst, all the way down to my attitude, but get strange looks from friends if I suggest having two weeks worth of water & food, plus alternative heat and cooking methods for a power outage during an ice storm. You have to be prepared as far as possible, but also be prepared for ill-prepared neighbors and family, and be prepared to survive if separated from your cache of goods by "well meaning" martial laws.

@iamthereorhere I know that some of these ides will not work, but then again.....Perhaps get a PT job (I worked about 10 hours a week at a LOW paying job at a chain store 3rd shift to make $). If you are a good worker, you have a good chance at a local chain drug store/ fast food etc. Maybe have a yard sale to make a little $. Maybe house sitting (or pet sitting etc.) Maybe barter unused things with friends. For info, check out books on gardening, carpentry, etc at the library. Good Luck!

@iamthereorhere There are NEVER no options. You can always buy 1 extra item a week and put it away, you can always look through craigslist to find used and sometimes free items, garage sales, eBay. You can grow some vegetables in a pot by the window, roof top or fire escape. You can keep rabbits in an apt. There is a guy on you tube on unemployment and food stamps and he has amassed a good collection of food. Information acquisition is very important too. Learn things that will be useful.

For instance many are familiar with the existence of wealthy property owners like Oskar Schindler who lived under the Nazi regime. This difference in ideology did in fact manifest itself in actual historical practice. The communists and Social Democrats were, in fact, main opponents in weimar.

A big warm dog can save your life. I'm prepared, food, fuel, water (super important) batteries, wind up flash light and radio that can also run on batteries, Bic lighters, candles etc........ I'm prepared, even if I was never a scout. I love camping!!!!!

To know what an economic & societial collapse in modern times looks like I have read Dimitri Orlov's book about the collapse of Soviet Russia' & Fernand Ferfal Aguirre's book on the Collapse of Argentina in 2001. Some of that stuff is happening right now (France) Banks refusing to let people get their money out like Bank of America will do soon Or Limits of amounts you can get out per day , there can be food & fuel rationing like WWII here. There are a lot of ways to find out

You will be okay then. The hardest thing to me is what if a family with kids is hungry? Would the parents try to kill you to feed their family? What if you simply don't have enough? Can you watch kids starve like stray dogs? That may happen. Elderly women dying of starvation in the gutter. This is not something we pampered americans have ever been prepared psychologically for. People run to the shrink because mommy didn't love them enough are they strong enough for this?
