Can anyone tell me why the implements were painted forest green? I have a 1949 VAC and I have the three-point/eagle #10 sickle bar mower. I am restoring both to do the same as this video.
This is a beautiful restoration.. I did notice the eagle and globe on the side cover.. I believe the stock location was on each side of the grill.. Beautiflu job though.. Even the stock cover on the spark plugs.. I have a pulling tractor with a V8 Chevy in it.. It has a grill off a VC case that belonged to my Father.. He had the VCs and VACs when I was young.. I do not know how many he had over the years.. Some bought just for parts.
@Pullnfool No the stock location of the eagle was exactly where they have them on this tractor. Look at the old photos in Case books of VAC's coming off the assembly line.
I did alot of research with old photos and original VAC's to get them properly put on my 1952.
Nice tractor i've got a 48 restored that must be aftermarket 3 point hitch eagle claw 3 point didn't come out till 1949 models aftermarkets are tougher though built a little stouter
wow thats a beautiful restoration! neat plow! we have the original plow for our 1952 vac. my great grandpa bought it brand new. ours has the wide front and the eagle hitch. its a great old tractor. always starts even on the coldest of days!
Nice looking case, I got a case vac too but its a 1946 and doesn't look as good but its still a hard worker and we us it to make food plots, mine is not rusty but its just faded from the sun
wow better than new condition. whats the steel spinning wheel on the side for?

That is the Case lift that was used on the VAC prior to 1949. The hydraulic pump is located behind the belt pulley.

Thanks. I agree they are a very useful tractor. I can see why they were so popular!!

Also, mine is not as quiet as yours. And I don't have a pully wheel on it but i can have one on it.

Hi, did you buy this fully restored or did you complete it yourself? Looks a good job, what shows are you going to this year?
