in sonic heroes in bobsled/kart races the lead character says if speed character falls off it loses speed and if flight character falls off it cant jump however after the second hit the power character falls off when flight character falls you lose a life

Here is a little fact: Sega Corporation wanted a mascot to rival Nintendo's flagship character Mario in 1991 Sega introduced Sonic The Hedgehog who subsequently replaced Alex Kidd as Sega's mascot.

SegaSonic the Hedgehog was officially released into the Japanese arcades in June 1993. The game was Sonic's first major arcade outing, and featured Sega's mascot alongside two new characters: Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo. Mighty would later feature in Knuckles' Chaotix for the Sega 32X but Ray has not appeared in any other official games.

However, since SegaSonic the Hedgehog, Ray's only video game appearance was a cameo as a keychain in the Sega game Gale Racer, (the Sega Saturn version of Rad Mobile.) Ray has also been in the Archie Comics of Sonic the Hedgehog as a member of the Chaotix team.
