  • That presentator seems bored.

  • Well...I've just downloaded this, how to...turn on the sound? ;-)

  • I need a name of the first preset in this intro.. pls help.. It's sound amazing!

  • hey look it's the code for it:

    7438-8346-3238-8347

  • o0o0o0o! A simple synthesizer which allows me to create my own sounds!? Man, I could imagine the hundreds of unique sounds I could come up with!

  • Can anyone tell me if all usb keyboards can work on a Apple Mac?

  • Is it as good as a real one?

  • No virtual sound is better than real sound, but this Minimooog is hell of a virtual instrument !

  • It's better than the real one in my opinion. Sure it doesn't 100% replicate the sound of the original, but it still sounds awesome. It has that warm analogue sound.

What makes it better is the added features like polyphony, patches, arpeggios, efx etc. And also the fact that it requires no physical space and you can have as many as your computer can handle.

All that for like a 10th of the price of the original.

  • I see what you mean, and that's pretty much my mentality. But I have a real one, and I really like it. It's lovely. For polyphony, I use a S3000XL! It's no where near as good as being able to tweak the polyphony.

    You win there mate! :-)

  • I wouldn't owning the original one. After all, it looks really cool. But I doubt it would get much use really and my fretted instruments takes up most of the space over here already :)

Nice set of videos you got there by the way!

  • The big disadvantage about VSTi are that they are difficulter to turn knobs en so but if I use the vsti i take a good preset (there are a couple hundred in the program) and then i modulate them to my prefrence that I find a big advantage of a vsti.

Also an advatnage of a vsti is that if you play something and after you played it there is a nice overview of the played notes and than you can change them etc.

The price is also good the only thing you need is a vsti and a midi keybord and your ready

  • But if I'm wrong plz correct me.

  • True. But if you have a MIDI controller with knobs then that's not much of a problem anymore.

I have a Novation Remote SL Compact which is just wonderful for controlling software synths. The layout is still not as logical as on the original MiniMoog, but then again it works with more than one synth.

And yeah, being able to edit out mistakes is a plus. Especially for people like me who aren't that skilled with keyboards.

  • I've got a M-audio Axiom 49 nice keybord for what i use it.

  • The original (along with most of the Moog gear available) is my studio...although software is portable, nothing beats a serious analog studio...IMHO
