electronic music, or electronica as we say here in western europe, is the umbrella term, everything else (techno, trance, house, electro, ambient, chillout, dnb, lounge, dubstep, idm, etc) is a subgenre. each subgenre usualy has a few subsubgenres of its own (like vocal trance, deep house, hard techno, etc.)

we make most of the stuff so i think we kind of know these things.

there are some places in the usa where this type of music is popular. it tends to be in larger cities tho b/c of the cultural mix there. youtube has some more stuff from the global deejays. they r the best at wat they do.
