  • @devilu18 I wasn't married then! I am now and will has to find a new target.

  • @gekiryudojo how come you took up sytema did you do anything else before

  • @lokalllize because it is the best I did many arts before over 40years now Ninjutsu Karate Jodo aikido aikijutsu boxing 7th dan in 10 arts 4th in karate

  • The question is who does he have chained up in his basement?...lol

  • the man Rotary

  • Thanks for sharing this coach, ive been interested in learning atleast the basics of this punch and this is one of the few times i've actually stumbled upon a video with someone who explains this in english AND in a way thats easy to understand.

    Salutations from sweden.

  • he looks like my father...and he's hittin' the wall like my father hitted me when i was a child. Omg...this is my father

  • @IviboyPinki I love a happy reunion :)

  • Hello my friend thank you for sharing. If I may make a request would it be possible to share basic Systema Meditation and Breathing techniques and share Kuji-In of the Bujinkan system and compare and contrast them if possible? I believe that many would find it very valuable and very enlightening. Blessings my friend, Namaste

  • I don't want you hitting me, Sensei. :-) but the movement starts from the hip muscles, as I watch you. From start to finish, the wave goes from hip to the ground, through your heel and skeleton and back up to the target, and through it. Takes very little movement and moderate strength if done right, and this is. This is what I'm seeing as a whole. Very nice.

  • Dude looks like he needs a nap.

  • @gabethomson1 this Dude has MS and was very ill that the time of this Video

  • This really isn't hurting :D

  • dang, does his hand hurt?

  • @dudeiffy1 No it is fine

  • @dudeiffy1 it does not hurt to punch the wall haha

  • @gekiryudojo He kinda looks like a shaved version of the guy from SALT where he comes in and tells everyone shes a spy xD at 0:48

  • @HAFhotandfluffy I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about!

  • @gekiryudojo never mind then

  • Epic wall punching

  • Does Systema have any methods to reduce or control ones fear? say you have to skydive, and you are basically hyperventilating near blacking out. Can Systema help with that? If so, do you have any methods to share?

  • @chinguidinsky see my other videos

  • his knuckles were purely in pieces after constantly hitting that wall... Wouldn't wanna get on the wrong side of him though!!!

  • @gekiryudojo hey there trevor i am from barrow we met in 2000 approx in bill hemsworths gym you demoed a strike for me i was the big dude steve humpage . just hear to say systema is friggin awsome , i am joining a class hear in newyork city as i am becoming armed guard and then moving into executive protection after couple of years alredy hold blackbelt in wado ryu karate but it comes no were near systema for my chosen trade to be Also sorry about the MS buddy your a credit to the art.

  • @roadwarriorish1 Hi Mate Good to hear From you! Off to bed now put I will PM you tomorrow!

  • haters keep hating, this guy was Brit SAS, he'd eff you up in split seconds...

  • @vetb882 holy shit =O

  • Thanks for sharing...

  • no dobra a jak by miał ścianę z rigipsu i zrobił by dziurę to znaczy że mistrz to jak z rozbujanym workiem byle kto go rozbuja

  • @grzeniu111 po angielsku

  • Very nice. Unfortunatly, you need quite a lot of training to throw a punch like that, and even more training to throw a punch like that during a real street fight...

  • @CharlesGIGN True

  • how does he not smash the fingers on his right hand when he holds that plate?

  • @ttimothyp16 plate? you mean punch pad!

  • So basically your power is generated from the legs then accelerated by the hips shortly and delivered, after which you relax. That's .. how all punches work. So question: do you use your body weight on impact? So do you lean forward a bit? Or is it just stand still and use gravity to deliver the punch in combination with hip movement?

  • @MrIco basically all all that was wrong :/

  • @gekiryudojo

OH :O Be so kind to explain it to me then :)

  • Российская Система включает в себя подготовку в физической психологической и духовной нажмите на баннер на главной странице, чтобы узнать больше. Systema is a Russian martial

  • @Althahru почему вы пишете это на русском языке?

  • @Althahru почему вы пишете это на русском языке?.

  • I like the way behind systema, dont need strength you just need knowledge

  • @loekino mmmm i prefer to combine strength and knowledge... since i am 6'4 and weigh 93kg and dont have much fat.. i dont knw how to fight well tho... need to learn some systema.

  • @123UncleRuckus its the only way to harden your bones. (i wouldn't hit metal though) id hit like plaster walls. the trauma calcifies your bones makes them more dense. kick boxers kick banana trees for hours on end to harden their shins.

  • Holy crap! This guy could easily demolish some walls!

  • RMA stands for Russian martial arts? like is this the spetsnaz style combat?

  • @THEIAN11 yes the proper one

  • @gekiryudojo k sweet

  • @gekiryudojo I hope your better now you should open up your own dojo.

  • This is amazing, the power behind that is outstanding, sure wouldn't like to be the poor Suka on the other end of that fist mate, good vid, demonstration, and commentary!!! poor wall hahaha

  • ur hands should be registered as a lethal weapon...

  • All hail russia there freaking beast .I dont know one person that does this ..who the hell punches metal ..I would break my hand .then i cant be a muscian for a coupleof months

  • @Guitar8999 So they punch metal, have fun with arthritis in a few years after taking systema. I don't even think they use medicine with their training either with is just a recipe for disaster.

  • @123UncleRuckus lol. udumb, son. Martial artists constantly strike things that are harder than themselves. They create micro-fractures in their knuckles, wrists, shins, ankles, and feet. Those tiny fractures are repaired by the body through calcification and it makes their bones bigger/stronger. If someone who never trains strikes someone as hard as a middleweight they would break their bones instantly. That's why in MMA wrestlers break their hands all the time.

  • everything is better in slow motion

  • u punch very very hard

  • I FALL IN LOVE TO SYSTEMA AT THE VERY FIRST SIGHT....

  • Poor neighbors, in case there were any...

  • @MossadOwnzU just an old Drunk alcoholic who is deaf! so who cares?

  • id rather keep my elbow down close to my body and hit like i have a hammer in my hand and im hammering a nail in a wall

  • This look like kungfu punch

  • @Akuston always looks like something but dies it feel like one?

  • i am going to redo this Video soon as I was very ill when I made this one I will then delete this on

  • Power is the mass and the speed combined. It is logical that fist alone has much less power (because of mass) than whole torso and body mass from foot work put behid punch. No magic here i guess.

  • @RagzOnTube it is not just the fist it is the whole body behind it

  • @gekiryudojo Didn't I just said that?

  • @RagzOnTube but you don't need to move the feet at all! and speed is not every thing in fact you can get less power punching with speed especially if it compromises poster, form, poise, relaxation and breathing if you move the feet while punching you will lose some power

  • Karate and Tae Kwon Do I always found telegraphed their moves. From what I've seen of Systema it looks to take a lot from Kung Fu, Trevor. Some of its masters seem to be masters of Chi or Qi Gong. What are your thoughts on its common roots please?

  • @Nautilus1972 I was teaching a boxer today he could not believe the power I generated in a punch from 5 inches away, I am neither a Chi or Qi Gong practitioner, I just use natural movement and relaxation, nothing more than that, if you put any tension anywhere you then put Breaks on what you are doing.

  • @gekiryudojo Interesting. Do you guys have punches, where the elbow is kept in?

  • @Shitnames yes we do

  • Your a wonderful teacher, thank-you.

  • 17 people would come up Christians After I Hit them.! :P actually they would not get up again

  • I will be doing another Video on systema Punching soon as I was very ill when I did this one, also I have just spent over 10 weeks training at Systema HQ in Toronto Canada so I learned a lot of Vladimir Vasiliev,Martin Wheeler and maxim Fran's at HQ among others!

  • I suggest you to see some old fights of karate kyokushin , this way of striking is much older than Systema , it's good for short distance . It's a traditional karate tecnique , one of the millions ways of striking in karate.

  • @reppait I am a Black Belt in Shukokai Karate I got this after 5.5 years training in April 1983 it will be no different than that, I am also a 7th Dan in Aiki Jujitsu, a 6th Dan Shidoshi in Ninjutsu. and I was the First teacher of Systema in the UK since 1998. I know how to punch after 39 years in the arts I think.

  • @reppait also Systema is 1000 years old 900 or so more than karate kyokushin

  • @gekiryudojo Where can you find info about how old is systema ? I would be interested . I mean kyokushin is only a style , but it's karate . I'm trying to find info about systema , but I cannot find . So how can you say it's 1000 years old?

  • i have 1 question, you use the power of your arm and your fist?

or only your body en shoulder.

  • @Nic0Arg only your Whole body. But keep ALL your body Relaxed all the way though the punch. in my next series I will show you how to put the energy in to opponents body not just though it, to drop them on the spot

  • i have been studying systema for 2 + years the power of a systema punch is far greater than a normal one....when i execute a punch i feel a wave from my feet rising up.... its also goes down to my feet if i am struck then rises back up for the counter...... all good stuff!

  • Its definitly a hard punch.. But this is so telegraphic, you could see that comming from a mile away

  • @Tical8585 When used in fighting systema strikes are the opposite of telegraphic. They are quick and very hard to see. Because the strikes dont come from a guard or through biomechanics. The strikes are often short, heavy and aswell as causing intense internal pain they take you off balance. A demo like this is very different to how the strike is used and is pretty much for teaching people the actual mechanics of the strike. In real life strikes like this can be delivered only a few inches away

  • LMFAO "quite simple really" your awesome ;D

  • I you relax your hand after punching and someone punches your hand... wont that be damaging to your hand?

  • @halo123321123 how can it be broken if it is Flexible?

  • @gekiryudojo

I think you are right, the only way to brake your hand is by punching when your hand is still relaxed

  • i feel sorry for the wall. and thanks for the tutorial. i train at a dojo that teaches-hoshin roshi ryu-ninjutsu-and systema and i couldnt quite get the systema punch right. but now i think i got it. thank you :)

  • wow... im stunned by the sound of the impact at 1:56. do u feel the wall through that thing u have been punching on?

  • @ixan7418 yes you feel the wall, it is a plaster covered brick internal wall, the pad is expanded polyethene covered in plastic the impact was rattling the radiator 2 meters away. I dont do it often I might destroy the wall!

  • @ixan7418 do you understand how he used his breath? IMO that is the most important part

  • Why do all Systemma people look liek they've been hypnotized and indoctrinated into a cult? LOLipop.

  • @gaBehcuoDsuoitneterP great spelling chump! go back to school. as for indoctrinated cult personally I think most football fans are in a cult, systema is a individual pastime where you work on your own weaknesses (like spelling :P and social skills :P but people like you is what we do it for so we can teach weak people like you.

  • @gekiryudojo ROFLOLOL! Brilliant comeback mate, schooled that idiot =P

  • I need to do a video of the Skimming Punch, My Wing Chun instructor showed me today and I doubted him at first as it seriously doesn't look like it can do any damage he showed me it and I no longer doubt it, It's amazing what the biomechanics of the body can do when trained correctly to do so :)

  • @HyPeRCoN92 Then do it!

  • wow 1:24

  • Well done, but i dont mean to insult when i say, its hard to see the form when your back is to the camera, also your moving your shoulder, isolating the systema punch to the rest of the arm and away from the shoulder creates more momentum and power to it. It can be, and should be done without movement of the body, just from the elbow down. Much respect to a fellow systema student. :)

  • @dreddmartyr Like I said this is one version, It works for me and I know a lot of ways as I am a instructor, I will ask Vladimir Vasiliev or Maxim Franz about it this week as I am in Toronto for 10 weeks

  • @dreddmartyr also the way I am punching here is a way Michael uses I am using the whole body you would not like to be hit with it!

  • @dreddmartyr I asked Vladimir Vasiliev last night He said it was good enough!

  • Ok all nice in theory and ideal circumstances. But...

Can you relax and breath normaly in the stressfull situation during a surprise attack?

I would also love to see the punch from the other side to see exactly how far you pull back before the punch. I love systema and use a lot of it's principles in my own teachings. Have you ever considered having your punchforce tested?

  • @Jarno1510 Quote; Can you relax and breath normally in the stressful situation during a surprise attack? That is down to the amount of training you have done, and I don’t get stressed in a fight! Ever! Even a surprise one, I do not pull back from the punch It goes from where it is, I would like to test it properly! But I know it is powerful I knocked a man out on his feet some time ago

  • BRAVO! Thank you very much! I really apreciate it!

  • Lol bro, you look like you should go sleep for a day or two.

  • @AdvancedTraceur I Have MS I was in the the middle of being ill for two years I am a lot better now

  • @gekiryudojo i still cant quite understand how do u manage to punch that hard ... where is the power coming from if u r so relaxed can u give me more overall info ... i'm interested in the systema but i dont think that it is being practised in Bulgaria

  • @Stein912 it is in Serbia (Belgrade) It is very hard to explain in writing but quick to explain in person, when you punch you put all the energy into the strike (you don't try to pull back until all! the energy has go in the hit, just breath relax and practice! ok?

  • @gekiryudojo thanks for the info ... are there any kicks in systema

  • @Stein912 yes there is I will do a vid soon

  • @Stein912 my friend, the power comes from being relaxed and utilising a very important tool, Biomechanics. Using the momentum you build up from you elbow. There is no shoulder usage, as the shoulder can reduce power output. You focus on the biomechanics of momentum. Systema is mainly focused on those 2 principles. :)

  • @gekiryudojo i have a friend who has MD

  • I've gotta say I would not like to try and rob you, attack you or even look at you in a funny way, knowing what it might cause. Damn, I pity your walls and your weights!

I've been practicing hard lately, to get stronger and more resistant to anything, but I still wouldn't like one of those punches hitting me in the face!

    Respect!

  • Very nice, can see the power generation from the waveform you do.Cool.

  • 1:26 Did you just punch a weight?!

  • *PUNCH WALL.* BOOM. (HOLE THROUGH WALL.) ):

  • Cool vid. Ian Ayres says "key is the shoulda" and "s'all gotta be loose" (he seems hard!). A nice analogy I've heard is it's a bit like throwing a ball.

Can I ask Trevor, why do you suggest a loose fist? Just that I've heard different things from different instructors. Emmanuel Manilokakis told me to maintain some tension in the hand and wrist when striking - 'don't pulse' he said. Also Mikhail seems to have a tightish fist. Vlad's fist, on the other hand, always looks very loose.

  • @CNCTEMATIC we all find our best way I guess and This is the best for me, I want to hit hard but not injure myself and in 38 years of MM I have learnt that this is the best for me

  • @gekiryudojo Thanks very much. Maybe in 30 years I'll know what works best for me! Actually now I remember Manny saying he'd broken his hand a few times :)

  • would you say fedor uses sytema style punches?

  • @Lan5in6 Dunno what Trevor thinks but I think so. His punches are quite loopy, loose and heavy handed. There is some overlap between the heritages of Systema and Combat Sambo (Fedor's system).

  • about time someone posted something like this wicked video cheers boss

  • like the vid, russian arts are rare to learn, thanks.

  • Awsome video man,And it shows that the systema punch is exactly the same as a punch from "S.R.M.P" which is new upcoming art that i was privileged to be one of the only 20 to train in.Thank you and i am looking forward to more.

  • so pretty much you just place your fingers in your palm without squeezing them... that's amazing!!! so what can u tell me about kicking?

  • @lodshadow I will do another Video About Kicking

  • how tight do u squeeze your fingers?

  • @lodshadow they are loose

  • How hard do u squeeze your fist? thx for the awesome information :) so would it be the same for kicking? may you explain kicking, if its possible? :)

  • @lodshadow you dont squeeze anything you hold it in position

  • Eh m8 i threw one of these punches to a guy at school and it knocked him to the floor gd job !

  • like when bruce lee punches you see that his forearms are dense at impact... does this add power?

  • no it reduces it!

bruce lee did MA for 18 years I've done it for 37 years and learnt more in the last 7 than the 30 before it! if Bruce had lived he would have found this out!

  • do you tense up your arm at the moment of impact?

  • no relax all the way

  • the only important thing i get form systema is the relaxation before the strike. i cannot stand still i stii bring my body in motion but with relaxation before striking and the heavy hand feeling i can punch 1.5-2x harder than before. great job the russians did a good thing developing this strike system. i made a test on a door yesterday , my hand went through it, got a few scratches. it wasnt a very hard door i guess, i performed hits on it before, but it never broke til i did it systema style.

  • Good but please dont hurt yourself!

  • Hi, I watched one of your previous views and I noticed you lived in Barrow. If I haven't heard wrong.

I live in Barrow too and find this very interesting and Im also interested in learning a martial art. Do you run a workshop where I can learn this?

  • yes I do I'll mail you

  • sir, why dont take the view of the camera from the left side of you, because you were punching with your left arm, we cant see your punches clearly, sir

  • yeh sorry about that I did it on the next video (there was not much room for the tripod), and I only did this on the spur of the moment, I will do a better one later!

  • @gekiryudojo nice to hear that, sir........and sir, could you turn on the light too, i think you need some more lighting, so the details can be seen more easily

  • It's not a studio it's a spare bedroom ! but I'll do what I can!

  • Am I allowed to do this to my shortly ex-husband to be? ....shame .......... No I think a kick in the privates and my foot wedged firmly on his windpipe would do much better !

  • why do you dedicate your life to a hand to hand martial art if you can buy a gun in half an hour? O.o

  • Because any moron can shoot a gun ! and kill someone and destroy their own life in the process and have other people with guns coming after them to kill them!

the gun is only as good as the person using it! the same applies to a Punch, (and what makes you presume that I dont know how to use a gun, or take yours from you?)

  • I didn't say that you can't handle a gun, and neither im saying that you must KILL someone. Because there are things like warning shots or shots in the leg. And ig you have a gun. It would be foolish to get close.

  • I see your point but this is a video about punches not shooting, different tools for different jobs, If I do a shooting Video we will discuss it then but not on this video ok?

  • @C3ntur10n666 In the army, especially in war condition with your enemy, sometimes you have to face them/him in a very close range, this is called CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT, you have to maximize yourself and your environment to win or you die,

or, in peace condition when some punks are being "punk" to you, you can not shoot them, you cannot bring gun anywhere you like

  • It's great to see you up and about again!

Your videoes goes a long way to make these consepts that sound sort of mystical very down to earth and accesible. That's my opinion at least.

  • also a good stuff, I just have one question, I have been learning to not to move shoulder with punch, punch without shoulder, just from arm, so I am a little bit confused

  • I'm not really using the shoulder I'm turning the the torso, but this is only one way to punch, in all martial arts the Basic is like a game Demo, is is not the whole game!

there are many ways to strike but you have to know the basic way first, after that you learn the art,

don't restrict yourself in anything , variation and flexibility is the controlling factor in any system!

  • destabilizing movements are in the pipeline so it will be soon

    the others will follow

  • what are the biomechanicals of ballistic stricking?

  • The next video mate!

  • I'll be waiting for it.

    thanks for sharing.

    send you may regards

  • Question

it's usually explained that one should align the hand to the forearm in a straight line, in such a way that the wrist doesn't bend up nor down to avoid injure.

But the wrist also bends to the sides, in the direction of the little finger and thumb.

i would like you know how do you align the hand-forearm considering the side--to-side movement of the wrist.

  • I dont move my wrist, I change direction of the forearm you will injure you wrist if you hit with it bent and use power, I dont use power I am relaxed! and the fist is only sometimes tense for a split second that is so you Dont bend it! and injure it' if you aline things right on a person (not a brick wall) you dont need to tense anything.

  • I didn't mean to move the wrist, on the contratry, considering that the wrist can get bent to the sides upon impact (towards little finger or thumb) and cause an injury, how do you lock the wrist to avoid this movements?

You already explain that to avoid injury by bending of the wrist up or down (towards palm or back of hand)

Thank you for your reply, and sorry if I'm not being claer, english is not my native language.

    Bratzo Barrena

  • thank you for your questions, if there is anything else please ask!

    Trev

  • thanks for sharing good vid

  • Brilliant instruction!

    Awesome punch, man!

    Thanks!

Would you mind sharing how you build up your wrists and metacarpals to resist such power? Fist pushups?

  • YES I do fist push-ups every day up to 7 sets of 30 throughout the day, I also change positions of the fists constantly,

    thats mostly what I do,

  • @danielskipp1 video is now up on how you build up your wrists and metacarpals to resist power

  • while you demonstrate the kinds of punches that were shown in that systema documentary the you posted?

  • do you want to try that sentence again?

  • I think he meant will, instead of "while". Thanks for the vid, I still have trouble relaxing when I punch so I don't feel the recoil all the way up yo my skull. Any tips?

  • will, instead of "while" that makes sense now, thanks!

on your problem relaxing when you punch takes a lot of work

and and I far been hitting like this for so long now I cant do what you do so it is hard to give a tip, as I dont know where you are still without seeing you! so continue to train and dont hit hard at all! learn to relax and then start putting on the power, one more thing I dont use any power! I just speed up the movement!

  • I'm typo-ing now!

"and I HAVE been hitting like this for so long"

I will have to watch the video again I'm not sure which punches he means or by whom

  • so I shouldn't force my fist forward? sorry if that's a dumb question... the way I do it now is move my shoulder and then when the movement reaches my elbow I move my forearm forward, hope that makes sense. Thanks for such a quick response on the last one.

  • Good yes you are getting the right idea now, but it is not just the shoulder turn in with spine - shoulder - elbow - fist in a smooth action with no tension, if there is any tension the wall in this case will punish you for it! when hitting a person think of your movement as the power source not your muscles,

to get more "power" speed up the "movement" (don't increase tension muscle power)

  • Thanks the really fast reply, I'll practice it for a while now. Always excited to learn more systema only started a few weeks ago. I'll start going slowly and hopefully the wall won't beat me. Tried a couple of punches and could already see an improvement, can't feel the punch in the back of my head anymore.

Thanks for the advice, your channel has helped me alot. Hope your eye gets better soon, you'll lose a cool party trick though.

  • MS is full of party Tricks! the best one is to crap or pee yourself in public! (that I have NOT done so far I must iterate but I know other that have! )
