Are you talking about the Tracker or PMR? I think the PMR slide would mess a scope up pretty good. I got a scope on my traker and it works well and is very accurate. nice little varmit pistol.
I just got one of these guns and love it, I have not had one jam at all and have put hundreds of rounds through it. My question would be this. is there not a better place to mount the optic then the slide? That thing looks like it's get the crap beat out of it. I have a similar optic on a Springfiels XD45 and it's ok for now but I don't think it will last much longer but on a full auto I would think it would be destroyed.
@sparky0308 I just ordered one and I'm going to put a Universal Pistol Tactical Weaver/Picatinny Rail on it. It suppose to fit any handgun with a rail, and you can fit any scope on it. Google it, it's pretty cool.
I guess it will be picky about what you feed it. My buckmark would not feed winchester or CCI well, but when I bought a box of federals it ran without a hiccup. My thinking was that the federals casing have a polished finish to it which may have contributed to it feeding well.
@specops1991 definately. but iron sights work fine for that. i dont think anyone is interested in shooting any further than about 30 feet with this thing.
@specops1991 haha. thanks. but yeah red dot seems pretty pointless on a slide. no way it's going to stay zeroed or hold up to all the vibration then again maybe someone designed one that can handle it.
Im not saying the cartridge is incapable. I'm just saying this is pretty much a blowback-operated firearm, which means the design parameters call for the slide weight and recoil spring force to be proportional to the power of the cartridge.
I'd bet adding a couple of ounces to the already very-light slide, combined with the lower power of the round itself, doesn't at all help with reliability.
@JLindenwood it's .22 mag if im not mistaken.. .22 mag has enough ass to cycle a light slide. believe me. i love .22 mags. u can kill just about anything with it, and it's very flat shooting.
Thus, when you are dealing with an entire slide and arrel assembly that weighs like 8 ounces, and you add a 1.5+oz optic setup, you are increasing the reciprocating mass by almost 20%. Without a proportionally higher charge power to move that mass, malfunctions will just be that much more likely.
yeah, of course there is going to be a lot of malfunctions. come off it dudes. it's rimfire, and when you make it a sub machine gun if there is anything a cunt hair off, it'll jam like hell. you'll have to tinker with it. gotta find the sweet spot.
@cerberusgoddog (uploader) This video and my comment on the video don't give the gun credit for how it performed for the rest of the day. This video was shot after several hundred rounds were put through the gun and it was dirty as hell. The other videos of him shooting show the gun rocking and rolling with it.
@MiniUziDotCom guess people on youtubecant read...go figure...is it me or does the title say PROTOTYPE,,,,,they tend to malfunction some thats why its a PROTOTYPE to get the bugs out
I'd attribute those malfunctions to the holo sight mounted to the SLIDE! What Fucking retard did that? THe added weight is going to affect the cycling without question, not to mention battering the sight to death.
@10MickeyMouse Yeah they had that sight mounted there in a couple of the prototype videos. A bridge needs to be made over the back to mount it to and let the slide be free .
@cerberusgoddog That prototype was to test the magazines actually. I think if they wanted to make one for law enforcement types they would probably go to a match shooter style of mount that attaches to the frame and sits above the slide.
can they plz just sale the stock for the semi-auto pmr-30 that holds the three clips? that would 120 rounds of awesomeness!!!

Curious what was the sight optic used, was that a laser or light and what type on the bottom rail?
I have seen the other vid where it functioned flawlessly sans accessories.
ranger4219 1 year ago
i would try taking the sight off the top, the extra weight is probably the culprit.
tipusultan6 1 year ago
@tipusultan6 it doesnt matter about the dot sight sight on the back those weigh about a half pound or less because the where they're designed to go

why bother with a .22 sub gun when it would only be of interest to civilians and the amount of hoops we gotta jump through to get it isnt worth it...
