Thanks a lot for posting these videos! I know Gizmodo posted them on Vimeo, but Vimeo search is lacking. I'm really glad that you can close apps so easily unlike the Palm OS on Treos where they live until your phone crashes.
the person showing the phone seems like she doesnt know much about it. the phone is impressive. the way she handled and explained the features were horrible. i know the iphone is the best phone out, but this phone looks to be on the same level but never better. keep in mind there is a new iphone coming out. the palm pre was set to kill the current iphone features. i have a treo 755 so im no buy est to the iphone in no way
wow from what ive seen the one thing thepre has over the iPhone is the ability to multitask, which ends up slowing it down. ill stick with my iphone i think.
Multitasking is huge. So is the physical keyboard. The virtual keyboard on the iPhone is terrible and is the primary thing that kept me from switching at my last renewal. That and the fact that I'd have to pay about $400 more a year for service and have fewer shared minutes than I have on Sprint. AT&T's plans, especially for the iPhone, are ridiculously expensive.
idk if you have an iphone but the keybord is by far way better than a physical one. its amazing you can do all different languages. switch the layout, do landscape keyboard. you can also use the symbols keyboard with the app "genius" . so i ddont know why you think its so terrible
no touch screen keyboard, only physical. the dialing i'm sure is touch screen though. the only good use for a touch screen keyboard on this phone would be if you're on the web in landscape mode and you would have to keep flipping back and forth to type a url or anything for that matter.
How do you text the same message to more than one person? Anyone know? I haven't figured it out.

yupp
i'm sure some programmer not from palm would create a way to get a touch screen keyboard on the pre but you'd have to download it.
