Beau court-métrage. Pas besoin de musique...

On ressent le froid, le vent, la neige qui craque et dans laquelle on s'enfonce.

Les mouvements, tels celui où l'alpiniste donne un coup de pied dans la paroi de glace, sont extrêmement bien rendus: il n'y a pas d'effet "d'amorti" typique, et le bruitage très synchro ajoute à la vivacité du geste.

L'histoire est dramatique mais si bien exprimée...

Allez, continuez à nous faire de beaux "petits" films!

Well actually, I'm a professional motion graphics producer. I went through school for this stuff and learned from people who work or worked at Pixar as well as a whole host of other studios.

You seem to very rooted in an elemental concept of how a story should be told. This is something I went through in school, but grew out of as I learned more. Just relax and take in what this film has to offer. Kiwi is an interesting film too, and has it's own merits, but it's rather hamfisted and somewhat conventional, there's a subtlety to this film that you'd be wise to step back and learn from.

n this story is crap, its like takin a full length movie and cuting out a 5 minute piece of it and saying this is a short film. even movie trailers are better. THis movie was made by a whole group of people, but kiwi was made by one person is so much deeper. because its contains so much that u don't see on the surface, like a fight to make some meaning out of life. Sacrifice until death for something u believe in. THis film here, is just like hi people my dad died for 5 minutes.

The whole "he's sacrificing his life to live for just one moment" thing is cute, but not really that deep, and a little unnecessarily morbid. The animation is also very conventional character bouncing around kind of stuff, and the shedding a single tear thing is really cliche.

I must say i was captivated by this film. The mood that it sets right from the beginning is perfect. It really made me feel like i was there experiencing it. I feel sorry for people who can't appreciate a film that doesn't have action or humor in it.

-Camera views to make you feel the immense enviroment, without ever being awkward.

-And the slow-pace helps rub that solitude in.

Only crits would be the son's animation (the mix between his motionless expression and his body moving, seems awkward to me), and the first walk animation (seems too mechanic, but hey, it's a heavy suit ^^)
