Mic skills is important b/c they will earn you a following of supporters (much like Kennedy). Gimmick/Persona is even more important because it can limit your in-ring performances.

'Comedy jobbers' are an example. What if Cody Deaner was the best technical wrestler ever? The crowd would have never known since his gimmick required him to get beat up the whole match and look stupid.

The crowd doesn't care about how well a person can wrestle; they care about how many "cool" moves are in the guy's moveset. So for the wrestlers who don't have high-flying moves... they better have mic skills, a good gimmick or a manager

I don't think you speak for everybody. All wrestling fans want is a good match that they can get into. Lashley's style is more of storytelling and powerhouse. You don't need any high flying moves to get over in TNA. Just look at Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe. Sure the mic skills and a persona would help him get over more but in TNA, all you really need is wrestling and if a guy can put on good matches, I don't see what the problem is.
