  • Great trumpet..........

  • great tune by the best dixieland street band I ever heard.

  • HEY Ienjoyed that. I could you use soprano sax player to jump in? I'd be willing. But I live in central Kansas USA!

  • Hey Bert, how's your back feel after a gig playing the Bass Sax ?

  • @InBy9OutBy5 Yesterday I had 2 four our gigs on it. Felt tired but it didn't hurt. Not really.....

  • Damn that's good !

  • I loved Trump Davison's music. Any idea where there may be any film footage? You guys are great too!

  • @myousiknlaw No, I don't really know. But there have been TV shows. Maybe CBC has it in their files? You can always ask them......

  • nice...thanks for posting.

  • A+A+A+A+A+A+

  • dang that was pretty good, but wheres the banjo and drums solo?

  • Excellent rendition!!

  • wonderful and hot music, but I would play rather naked than waering these clothes :-)

  • We could get a series of 400 gigs if we were willing to play in these outfits, that ment 4 years enough work to live from. So it was not difficult to say yes. Now other people know us from these outfits and want it.

    That's why.

  • @ABrandsma These look exactly like the Dapper Dans costumes from Disney World.

  • One of my favorites...Outstanding job!

  • Super job.

  • I like your music very much, especially the powerful and warm bass sax sound! do you play an open mouthpiece or a classic one?

I'm watching your videos very often, thank you for uploading the music of your great band!

  • I have different mouthpieces, on this video I use a Selmer E with a round chamber from the 1950's. I also like 2 vintage ones. Real bass mpc, bigger shaped from the 1920s

  • Come to America!!!!

  • We would love to, who is going to organize concerts for us over there?

    kind regards,

    Bert Brandsma

  • Another piece I haven't heard so often, great to hear it here. I'm amazed at how many people walk past / across in front of you...if I heard a band like you on the street I'd have to stop and listen!

  • The Washington Post did a very nice test recently: They let one of the most famous violin soloist from now play 45 minutes of Bach solo pieces, but dressed poorly and in the subway in New York. Nobody stopped.... some people gave him money, 32 dollar total.... The evening before that he sold out the house playing solo with a symphony orchestra.

A lot depends on place and time.

Holland is not very cultural minded nowadays. Sports, computers are much more important.

    Thanks for comment

  • Bert: Another of ny favorite tunes. Thanks for posting. Leebm29

Theo

  • Schitterend en groetjes uit Valkenswaard

  • Groetjes terug uit Garijp!

    Bert
