  • Does this work on Xbox 360 Slim

  • if you Jtag your xbox 360 this way can XBOX LIVE detect that your xbox is modded??

  • @mjebis08 YES YOU DUMBASS

  • How so?

  • and is there away to make it undectable?

  • @mjebis08 You cannot go online with a JTAG period. Microsoft instantly knows when you are using a custom rebooter, and automatically BANS your console.

  • @FockingCamper actually you can . but your jtag will be gone.

  • i tryed to do this along time ago. xclamps are a bich. i also had to do a reflow so with the pushing and the pulling and the heat of reflowing it it kinda warped. it only lasted a week.

  • @TheXelian - This is a Falcon motherboard.

  • hey what part of canada do u live in

  • @xboxmodzhero - I am in the USA in NY but close to Toronto/Ontario.

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV ok i wanted to know if you could show how to jtag a xbox in person but i live a 1hour away from you

  • @xboxmodzhero - Did you want me to JTAG a XBOX for you or just show you how to do it?

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV how to do it

  • @BzRKxKILLER - Give Xellous a try, if not, try Xell, if not, you will have to use a different wiring method. Sometimes the transistor method will not work, especially on falcons.

Give the "original" a shot, DB1F1 and ROL (Bottom of board). Be careful with DB1F1, clean it with a scratch pen first at an angle, then add solder, then solder your wire.

DO NOT SOLDER THE DIODE DIRECTLY TO DB1F1!!!

  • why do you need an lpt cable

  • @NayrM16 - You need the LPT cable to read the NAND on the XBOX. You can also use the NAND-X from Team Xecuter which is a lot faster.

  • im trying to change my video card where is it located?

  • @brownce1990 - Oh boy

  • Don't know why anyone would be worried about the MS warranty. This is a JTAG tutorial, stop the MS warranty talk!

Nobody cares about the MS warranty, especially when we are talking about JTAG's!

  • the X clamps were so simple to get it took me 10 seconds

  • theres a way 2 open the xbox without breaking the warrenty seal and its not the hair dryer way. the way i found 2 work is to just leave the sticker there and when u seperate the 2 parts the sticker will just slid off of the other part and not leave the void thing on the case

  • @52779able - Does it really matter with a JTAG? It's like like your going to send it in to get updated......

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV no but like with a normal xbox thats nots jtaged u can do what ev and trick microsoft

  • @52779able Whats the point? You ruined the warrenty as soon as you solder that first wire\resistor\diode.

  • @THisIsBLuurr look at my last reply

  • microsoft makes the stuff complicated for us unlike sony. all i needed was a flat head and i got every screw out of the ps3 fat to fix ylod. and hacked it with a usb flash drive and a usb chipset lol

    sony suckss

  • as explained airflow and noise diff(possibly dust too).... if you notice the metal mesh and the plastic mesh are staggered/unaligned. xenon heat up alot and unless your gonna water cool it, the name of the game is implement a bunch of small changes and each thing helps a little to avoid the next rrod:P

  • @plasmar1 - Not sure what you mean by "the next rrod". With a proper reflow, x-clamp replacement, and good air flow a Xenon will last. I have repaired many that are still going. They just need good heatsink pressure and the gpu heatsink upgraded to gen2 with a 12v fan mod on at least the gpu fan.

  • tip to speed things up, instead of using the opening tool to open the casing(after taking the sides off) just spread casing and it will come apart;P ; as violent as it may seem I have yet to break a case that way

  • @plasmar1 -REALLY?

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV yep.... other tips, duct over the grill of the gpu using aluminum duct work tape(especially if dvd drive is liteon; they leave gaps), this forces air through the grill(some people use cardboard from a cereal box; I wouldn't).... if it doesn't have thermal pads on the bottom video ram chips, add them to avoid future issues(avail on ebay in sheets; grey crap).. on xenons do 12v mod and cut the metal grill on the back of inner casing(better air flow, less noise)...

  • @plasmar1 - I was being sarcastic.... BTW you use foil tape on the heatsinks/fan schroud not duct tape. No need for k-pads on Falcon V3 or later as there are no chips to hold. I do 12v fan mod on GPU fan on all XBOX's I work on and apply micro heatsinks on the TSOP and SouthBridge chips. Would never cut the XBOX chassis, that is unprofessional and cutting the grills out would weaken the chassis.

  • @ObsessedWIthGTAIV cutting the chassis, if done right does little to no diff to how strong it is;P your not cutting the whole section out just the grill(not to mention the plastic outter casing is what actually does the most when its closed up).... I meant as in air duct work, that the aluminum shit is used for mostly; personly I use copper circuit trace fixing tape;P.... not as in "The Red Green Show" :P...

  • @plasmar1 - I use $20 a roll Foil Tape which is generally used on A/C ducts. Never cut anything, I can't see that doing anything significant to warrant the time/cost to cut out the grill "mesh".

  • can you make a tut using a nand x, or a nand flasher? lpt connecters are soooo slow and i need help installing the other newer products

  • @HuntForAnswers - Yeah, I actually ordered a NANDX, didn't think I would be doing so many JTAG"s. However the only difference is selecting LPT/USB in JTAG Tool.

  • @CKXBX - I don't have any Jaspers, they are hard to find but I can get working sealed units. It would come to about $600 for a 512 Jasper, JTAG Wiring, Refurb process, 1TB XBOX Hard Drive, and full configuration.

I can also get brand new in sealed box Zyphers and Falcons. These units are brand new, and would probably last forever once fitted with the proper hardware and setup.

I have Falcons and Zyphers available right now.

  • Why did you remove the X-Clamps and heatsinks to do this? You can solder the SPI wiring without having to remove anything (maybe just the fan shroud but that's it).

  • @consolemodder92 - If you watch the whole tutorial and all 5 videos you will see why. This isn't just a LPT Soldering video.....
