A GPU is inferior to a discrete graphics card yes! Being in a very confined space a GPU can only emit so much heat and has less cooling apparatus as opposed to a graphics card which in the case of my 5870 HD is 90% a radiator and a fan. That allows hardware developers to push higher clock speeds and more stream processors without worrying about overheating. As I said 6870M = 960 stream processors at 680MHz. An old 5870 HD = 1600 stream processors at 850MHz.
I noticed that the numbers that you were claiming were just impossible so I did a little digging myself and found out that on a 27" iMac running under a 6970M and using the latest i7 Sandybridge processor (which also provides additional graphics capabilities):
Crysis 2 (Ultra Settings, 1080P NOT 1440P) outputted 35 FPS at most. I get around 70-80 AVERAGE.

If you're going to put Vista on your Mac Mini do you mean as replacement for Mac OS X or Bootcamp? If it's a replacement then just get a PC. If you're gonna use it as Bootcamp, I think it will slow it down... But both are fine computers and for a game like Runescape that doesn't seem a problem to me at all. It might lag a little if you're multitasking with other programs though.

I want to decide if I get a Macbook (4GB RAM) or an iMac (21.5 base model). I am going to want to run windows VM on it, I am going to want to edit videos, I'm going to want to browse the web, but I'm probably not going to want to do much gaming on it. Which one should I get. The reason I consider Macbook is because I have been used to my HP Laptop for a year, also, I really hate sitting at a computer desk instead of laying in my bed with my computer. I also have never owned a Mac.
@jebug29 The main factor that comes into play is whether or not you intend to take your new computer around. If you're going to be on the move a lot, or plan on taking it to school, etc., the Macbook would suit your needs better. However, if you do not move around much or prefer to stay bolted to a desk, the iMac is the way to go.
White Macbook is for grade school / high school children so if you are not a teenager who lives with their parents don't get one. The mac pro is clearly a better computer especially if attempt creative work. I find the white macbook so useless every day I suffer wishing my dumb girlfriend never got one. you do need some ram to get fast browsing , bassicly when your browsing your downloading and for downloading you need ram, start up task manager go to procceses there u see the rams in kb's how much you use in any task..

I want to decide if I get a Macbook (4GB RAM) or an iMac (21.5 base model). I am going to want to run windows VM on it, I am going to want to edit videos, I'm going to want to browse the web, but I'm probably not going to want to do much gaming on it. Which one should I get. The reason I consider Macbook is because I have been used to my HP Laptop for a year, also, I really hate sitting at a computer desk instead of laying in my bed with my computer. I also have never owned a Mac.

@jebug29 The main factor that comes into play is whether or not you intend to take your new computer around. If you're going to be on the move a lot, or plan on taking it to school, etc., the Macbook would suit your needs better. However, if you do not move around much or prefer to stay bolted to a desk, the iMac is the way to go.
So: Portability or performance?

White Macbook is for grade school / high school children so if you are not a teenager who lives with their parents don't get one. The mac pro is clearly a better computer especially if attempt creative work. I find the white macbook so useless every day I suffer wishing my dumb girlfriend never got one. BTW she broke my imac by slamming it against the wall.

you do need some ram to get fast browsing , bassicly when your browsing your downloading and for downloading you need ram, start up task manager go to procceses there u see the rams in kb's how much you use in any task..
i also think having more than 1 gb ram is pointless unless you play large games or do some large tasks that i dont know about or watch 10 hd videos yes , you need ram for internet speed
