  • By the way Dr. Rose, I found out a few years ago I am allergic to many things~wheat and dairy foremost. As a child I was hospitalized with a "mystery conditon" that was labled "lazy bowel" Now I know better, being in my mid 30's. Naturally I have endured a lot of damage to my digestive system. Will bone broth help heal my intestines? Just recently became cathartic free after 20+ years of daily mineral oil shots, and 5 years of Cascara Segrada in massive doses and regained peristalsis. (yay!)

  • You are a very intelligent woman, and I am so glad I found this channel. I found it of course by looking for a recipe for bone broth and found you at traditional foods.com I am quite impressed with the information you present. Thank you! :j

  • i think the best source would be the Weston A Price foundation, not the FDA :-/

  • @thehotavocado I AGREE!

  • Why dont we just stick the bones in the coals of a fire, crush the bone ash, and eat it?

  • This document from 1934 that looks into mineral content of Bone and vegetable broths:

    ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1975347/pdf/archdisch01497-0052.pdf

  • hm, maybe next time you get your facts straight before you write a book

  • @saiserieht When I write a book on the mineral content of bone broth, I'll do some lab tests to include in the book but then I'll mention the same thing I mention in this video: It depends.

  • the risk of taking in "prions" is what I guess I'm trying to find out. thx for your video btw. good info.

  • Amanda,

My question would be, what are the chances of getting mad cow disease by consuming this broth? For example some are boiling up various bones of the cow, thigh bones, would this be safe do you thing? Very interesting.

  • @roger5845 If anyone is making bonebroth i HOPE they are using organic grassfed bones from happy cows at a local farm..NOT factory farmsed cows that eat the food and live in the conditions that cause mad cow disease

  • It is truely a superfood! Full of minerals and glucosomine and two amino acids that people pay wayyy to much for in expensive supplements full of additives.

  • I have Chronic Neutropenia and the bone broth has almost doubled my white blood cell counts!

I am normally sick all the time and now I have made it a whole month with no virus or illness! So I am making it at least once a week from now on!
