We've had a CONSERVATIVE gov in power since 2006, they just won another 4-year MAJORITY gov, our federal gov STRONGLY opposes ANY kind of carbon tax, even a remote one. On top of that, Alberta Oil Sands is the #1 economical jewel of CDA, you hurt Oil Sands, you destroy our economy. Our oil, ETHICAL OIL, as opposite to bloody oil from Middle East or Venezuela, goes mostly to USA. So ZERO chance for carbon tax in CDA.

This works in Sweden because the Swedes are responsible. The system is based on responsibility of individuals to the society. The Swedes could easily built socialism or communism with their approach to life. Sadly, this will not work in other countries. Imagine someone throwing out an old battery or a broken light bulb into a bin designed to accept food waste.
