Just want to make sure everyone understands that the high-end Steinbergers sold by MusicYo (i.e. the non-Spirit models) were built in the USA. "Real" MusicYo Steinbergers are NOT Korean instruments.
I was convinced to get me one of these, but wasn´t aware they were made in Korea. Nothing personal about that, I have had Spirits before, enjoyed them very much. What bothers me is the fact that these basses are expensive, about 1.100 US$, I recognize I´m kind of snobby about paying that much for a korean made bass. Thought they were made in the U.S., but now that I know that, I´d rather save some more and give me a Stingray as christmas autopresent...a tank for which paying won´t hurt.
Steinbergers were the best guitars..the most reliable, and by far the best tremelos.I never had problems . even the cheaper r-trem kicked floyd in the ass.fluttered and pulled like crazy.and staed in tune but why make something people can't repair 10-20 years down the road.and it took that long for it to break after heavy abuse. i have 2 steins i cant find parts for..I would buy the new z3 but why take the cahnce ! what a bummer to see such fine inovation rendered useless over Stupid shit!

Bought one of these based on Ned getting out in front promoting them.
Piece of crap. Avoid. Nowhere near the quality or design ingenuity of the original Steinbergers. Sent it back!
