I signed up for the post 9/11 bill back in July and still haven't recieved my payments, only 20% of the claims have been processed. Now I'm locked out of signing up for next semester and am so broke that I am selling everything I own on EBay just to pay the rent. This country should be ashamed of how it treats it's veterans.. I signed for the G.I. bill IN MY CONTRACT! It was my REASON for joining in the first place and now I'm about to be homeless. Thank you.

ATTENTION VETERANS:Dont tranfer over to the POST 9/11 GI BILL blindly! Go to VA website to see how much you will get. It's based on WHEN you got out 3 months after 9/11. If you EOS date is close to 9/11, stay with the regular GI BILL. Do the comparison for full time students of both GI BILLS. Govt is banking on those to sign blindly to save a dollar. Thats why they made the POST 9/11 version IRREVERSABLE after transfering. Tell other that you know about this!!! Get what you deserve!!!

i wasnt referring to veterans, i guess i should have read the title. but of course veterans deserve special entitlements because they accomplish special achievements and earned it. im actually on active duty right now, but foreal i see many spoiled people, like people who hurt themselves on their own personal time and still get paid the same amount + extra doing nothing. but my comment was too much im sorry for it, i will remove it.

I have to put myself through law school because I was turned down by vocational rehab despite being 70 percent service connected. I am in debt and barely can afford food just to get through school.

vocational rehabilitation is now so overbloated with people who want help that once you sign up you are now put on a waiting list and told they will call you. I sill haven't heard from them after three months while being disabled to be inable to walk.

I am in law school and was told that despite being a service connected disabled veteran I can not get "vocational rehab" for school for a Juris Doctorate degree. Law is something that can be practised at flexible hours for a disabled person. You have adressed the GI BILL but what about the DISABLED veterans who apply for vocational rehab?

The troops don't seem to care much for Obama and this taking credit for something he didn't do won't change that.

Now Obama is expanding the troop levels in Afganistan, more of them have died their in July than any other month since the US has been there.

He has just embraced Bush's SOFA agreement with the Iraqi's and has NOT changed a thing.
