But this is NOT "live." It's the studio version with some band footage behind it. I'm really starting to get annoyed by these videos with misleading titles.
love it when van does spiritual songs! to bad people don't listen to lyrics and understand he's referencing god! just like have i told u lately that i love you! at least thats what i'm hearing!
Originally recorded in 1976 on the Avitar label & written / produced by Van Morrison himself with Herbie Armstrong originally doing lead vocals .. This was recorded by Herbie Armstrong before the Van morrison release for the planned album "Common One" 1980 but sadly this track didn't make the album, and was finally released on the "Enlightenment" album in 1990 with Van Morrison singing lead vocals ...
The direction of this video hurts it. They don't know how to "sell" a middle-age guy who's packing on too many pounds. The trick is to focus on him and show him--warts and all--so you get an idea of the work he's done and the difficulty of keeping passion after 30 years of performing.
Saw this when it first came out on a telescreen in a Target store. I was in awe. My shopping partner, my sister, said, "I could take the music if I didn't have to watch him perform." I said you are missing so much in life, dear sister.
I mean, it seems to be a studio version...yet his voice is sooo amazing ...no matter if he's doing a studio version or singing live. Van Morrison is simply unique!
I love to watch Van live, and of course the Band. This has Heart AND Soul, I am still Moving to it with a very More than old friend. Then we know it is REAL.
Great song.

@lmcgowan28 - what did she mean by "perform" - because he's static? because of his looks or what? Cheers!
